Thats just how they are. If thats all that your man is doing give him a big kiss and tell him you love him. He could be strung out on drugs or drinking or beating on you. |

Because we pay the cable bill and have no interest in watching the god forsaken Gilmore Girls..... |

As a woman, I think it's a "guy thing". No matter how old they are. I think when they are watching "the game" on tv, they like to have something to hold onto for fidgeting purposes. Whether they admit to it or not. |

That is definitely not true.
She is in charge for the remote control, I do the dishwash, hoover and care for all. |

Its not just your man its every man, and they just need to think that they rin control lol |

no its not just your man. Its just a guy thing, that you will never understand, kinda like there are things about women that guys will never understand, like why do women like to go to the restroom together unlike guys. |

My man too, one hand on the remote...the other down his pants...like he thinks one or the other is going to up an run away. LMAO!!! |

The reason he is clutching it to his breast all the time is because when he squeezes it he always gets a response. |

Kinda like the females think they own the bathroom, the sink, the entire bathroom cupboard, and all of the drawers.
Enough make up to paint the house a few times,, until it rains,, hehe |

It is the last bastion of male dominance for control. If it is really a problem, you need to get a universal remote for yourself. If that doesn't help, you will both need light sabers to settle issues. |

there is a Gene that all men have and no woman should ever try to take that remote away. God meant for the MAN to run the TV, even if it means going from Commercial to commercial..... we just love it. OR... go out and buy a universal remote at Radio Shack for like $10. and you can both have a remote. |

I don't THINK I own the remote, I DO own the remote! |

I think it's a testosterone thing. every man I have ever known has done this. Except my Pop. Mom owns the remote & he knows it. How to handle this? I bought my own t.v., put it in another room & then my husband came in one day while I was watching a show I liked. He picked up MY remote & changed the station to the same thing he had been watching in the living room, stating that he wanted to talk to me but didn't want to watch that cr-p, he wanted to
watch his show. I had to inform him (gently of course) that as he was in My sewing room & it was MY t.v., he had to watch what I was watching or go to the living room. I turned my t.v. off, listened to what he wanted to tell me, then went back to watching my show. He never tried to change My station again. |

Well I do own the remote to the tv just like my wife owns

and so do I. |

no we all like to see diffrent things we do not like to stay at one chanel and see one thing. Any ways you should see sinfiled there is some thing about that which is good. |

Haha.
I think it is their escape from their everyday life. Once they sit down and turn on the television, they know they can relax and not have a care in the world for a little bit. |

i'm the remote control owner in our habitat so maybe it's not just a man thing |
|

It depends who bought the TV! If you have a program you specifically want to watch he should let you, but if you're just channel hopping he should concentrate on prgrams you both like, comedy, nature, etc..... If he's a sports nut and you're not then either watch TV in a different room or leave him!!! |

because they dominate the marriage, you are the lesser important human in the relationship.think about your relationship, are you equal? |

Because we do...you females have this problem called uuhhmm, remote-control-itis yeah see that's whe you guys get the remote and cant put it down...you guys have to check all 300 channels to see whats on....TV...and then after that you finally turn to the preview channel for like five minutes...aaawwhhh...There's only two things Men care about on TV 1. what times the games come on, and 2. When is the next sportscenter showing...So to prevent us form missing our games we need the remote...things will be much more efficient...and we know you guys like to hide the remote right before the games so you can see us go crazy looking for it like a dog chasing his tail. |

I like to admin the car stereo whilst my sister drives..
I think it's an affectionate thing.. I wouldn't admin the car stereo if someone I hated was driving, lol..
Same scenario?
