Why do most women assume most men need to be married to be happy?

I am single and never been married and have no desire to lose my freedom or money or space or happiness by getting married.. Plus most my married family and friends say I am smart for staying single. (the men) They envy me...but some have honeys on the side too....I dont get that either...just stay single and have all the honeys you want ...no strings....Well?

and before you answer with the generic "You will grow old and get very lonely"

Well for one I didn't know most women thought that... but I will tell you that if you ever meet the right person, she will change your mind without doing anything other than being in your life. Some men are marriage material, and some aren't. If you're not then you're not. So why b*tch about it? Next question please...

I don't assume that.
I only assume that the traditional men out there would be happier married, not ALL men.
And the only man I would want anyways would be traditional so that is the only kind I bother concerning myself with.

The guys who have "honeys on the side" are those who married for the wrong reasons and married the wrong women and the men who say your smart are just saying that guarantee they love going home to dinner on the table and their children yelling daddy and wrapping there arms around them and having someone to make live to and sleep next to. They say that to act like they don't care cuz that's what guys do.

if a guy wants to be single, whats the big deal. there are many men out there that would love to share their lives with someone.
when i married my husband i didnt lose anything, i gained (not weight) a partner, friend, lover and family.

Well marriage isn't for everybody. I do agree with one thing, why on earth would a man get married and have women on the side? Why not stay single and have all the women you want no strings.

You sound like me. Most of my girlfriends complain their husbands get fat and lazy and end up sleeping on the couch because their D**Ks don't work anymore because they are tired.

I may grow old and lonely...but that *is* what nurses are for! No complaints for men "changing sides" with that whole profession.

I am 25, and divorced for two years now. Yeah, im "young" i guess.

but my personal views on marriage are this: i dont need a court, judge, or a piece of paper to prove to the world or anyone that i am in love. that "marriage license" will not make me love a person more, wanna be with them more or stay with them forever. & that works both ways. i am not dead set on never getting married again, but i dont ever have to be married again to be happy with someone.

marriage doesnt always equal happiness. if you're not the type that wants to get married, lay it all down on the line and be up front before anything gets serious. if the woman is in agreeance, then its all good. if not, then find someone who is confident enough and comfortable enough with her own self to not have to "tie you down" to be happy.
