I am not against people in there late 30s or 40s having kids.
But I always wondering do Older parents realize that they may put there kids through.
My mother got when she was 43.(I was adopted has a child)
When I was 10 she had cervical cancer and had to lose her hair and go through all kinds of treatments. I had a hard time explaining to my friends why my mother was in the hospital all the time and why my mom was losing her hair. Too me as a child, it was so unfair.
Now my father has to worry about his heart and is at a risk of having a Heart attack. I am 22! I should not be going through this at 22.
42 maybe, But 22! I need my parents!
I LOVE My parents to death, they mean the world to me! There my life.
Now married for 8 months and pregnant with my first, I can't imagine not having my parents in my child's life.
My Grandparents saw we grow up, get married and are watching me have one of my own!...My parents may not be able to see there Grandchild through all of life's happiness of marriage and childbirth.
Advice?

I understand that there are medical reasons that may take getting pregnant long.
But why wait till your 35 to have kids...
You can always travel and go back to college, have fun etc.

I TOTALLY agree with you and just was thinking about the same thing the other day! I live in a college town, so I work with all these college students who get their bills paid and go party every night and they look at me with pity sometimes because I am 20 with a baby. BUT I LOVE BEING A MOM!
I think of it this way, you either have your fun now or later. My husband and I decided that we would have our children young, and now our daughter will be off to college when we are 37! At that age, we will be financially comfortable and be able to travel, go out, etc. whatever we want! People who wait until they are 30, they are almost 50 by the time the kids are out of the house, and like you said, going through medical nonsense! I am thankful that the women in my family had children young because now we have 4 living generations and will go on to have 5 since my grandmother is only 59!

a lot of people have children later in life due to financial reasons - they want to give their children the BEST. it's not fair to place unnecessary stress on your parents at this point of their life.
you have a husband and child - all you can do at this time is support them. |

not all people can conceive easily i was married at 22 and never had my first child till 30 yet i tried for 8 years for her, i now have 4 wonderful children the last one at 40, i bring them up on my own and we have so much love in our house, my children have never missed out on anything having an older mum. |

They are finishing their education, traveling, working on their career, haven't found the right one yet.... Lots of reasons. I had my first child at 36 my second at 39. I am not saying I recommend it but No sin in that but some people don't do it by choice. |

Not everyone is ready to have children before they are 30, due to finances, family, job, economy, health care, religious reasons, etc. I'm in my late 20's, and I'll be getting married next year, and having children isn't even on my mind right now. My fiance and I do not have money to raise a child and I would never bring a child into the world that I'm not prepared for. |
