because the questions are as stupid as this one |
|

?

Usually because they feel that the question lacked clarity, or because the answer requires thought. It may also be a way to avoid being taken down by abuse nazis which seem to run in packs these days on YA. |

I do it so they will ask themeself items that they have left out in the questions.
most people asking questions neglect to supply all the details that are needed for a question to be properly answered.
In this way we are "teaching you fish" and not just giving you the fish. |

Like My New Hat?

They ask the question strategically because the best way to teach something to someone is to give them all the facts and them come to the correct conclusion. And sometimes the fact that you are stating something in the form of a question has a different, and someotimes more meanful, way about it. |

To get people to think. A person should really engage the brain before putting fingers to the keyboard. |

because they want to be clear with your question. and also your opinion |
|

so the initial questioner will get a better perspective on the answer. and they can answer it for themselves that way. |

why do you ask? |
|

mamabee

Well, if a question has been asked there are always more questions that follow. If someone is asking for relationship advice it is a great way to get the person who asked the question to think about their relationship from a different view.
You learn by asking questions.
Does that answer your question? |

Why do so many people ask dumb questions? |

Do you think they don't have a better answer? Or is it that they need more time to think? Could be that they are just avoiding to answer? What you think? {:> |
