Why do women think staying at home is so hard?

Why do women think staying at home is so hard?

i think women make everybody feel like its a 24 hour job! its not! why do women think they can stay at home for years doing things they would be doing if they had a job in the first place, then get half when there is a divorce?

taking care of kids is as easy as you make it! i have twins and i do know! as for the house if you do a little something everyday then the house never gets out of hand! again taking care of a house is something that gets done weather you are working or at home!

Ok Dave. I actually agree with ya on this. Pretty much.

I think it is FAR harder to have a full time job (which I do) outside the home PLUS raise kids. THAT is hard. I did it with 3 kids for the last 19 years.

Oldest is now in college, the other two are 16 and 12. WAY easier! But I agree if you get yourself organized, it can be done. I did it, my house was clean, meals were on the table, kids were taken to football, cheer-leading, their plays, etc. If you work at it, it can be done.

I personally (here come all the thumb downs!) think being a stay at home mom full time is much easier than what I did. But, that's just my opinion and Im entitled to it. lol

Why do men think that working at their job is so hard?

Staying home isn't the hardest job, but it is alot of work and it is 24hours...kids are 24/7....the house work is all the time....we don't get to clock out like you...and if your house is like mine...my hubby works, I do everything else.......kids, housework, shopping, financing, ect.....Take a weekend and try to do all taht she does.

so what do u know, going work to come home at 6 in the evening to everything done. minding kids is full-time job in its self, we should be paid for been mothers. we get up make breakie, get everybody off to school and if not in school dress and entertain, clean up after breakie, and clean the house, do load washing, dishes, hoovering, clean kids rooms, sitting room. the min we clean 1 room and go clean another, we go back for the kids to have messed it again, u make lunch and feed the lot, clean up after it and entertain the kids again and off for walk. come home make dinner, feed the lot including the man, clean up after it and begin to bath and get kids ready for bed, read story book and tuck each in, by time sit down ur wreaked just want sleep, and then when wake up again we have to do it all over again - so if think its easy then why not swap with us, us women be the bread winners and ye men stay at home, ye be crying after week of it!!!!

Well, I don't necessarily agree with you. I stayed home for 1 year (here in Canada, we get 1 year to stay home) with my daughter and I couldn't handle it any longer. I was completely relieved to return to work.

I think it's one of the toughest jobs in the world and you're not going to change my mind.

You're entitled to your opinion, though.

i think it only gets really hard when the woman doesnt have the support and help of her husband/partner.
taking care of the home is a full time responsibilty indeed. unlike a regular 9 to 5, you can go home and leave your work behind. kids however have needs that doesnt necessarily always respect the boundaries of time and energy.
women complain, and im sure stay at home dads would too if they didnt get any help.

Because it is a hard job. Some people at my workplace are actually much more busy when they are not at work!

If you think it is that easy, then i would question your parenting skills, as raising children is never easy, it is a 24 hour job, and there is no let up or escape from it, you cant take a lunch break, or unwind afterwards, or leave at the end of the day, it is continuous without break and unpaid, and by far te hardest job in the world.

I also have twins and i am a single mother. When they were small i stayed at home with them, as i did not want my children being raising by someone else, why do we have children if someone else is going to raise and take care of them.

I tidy and clean my house daily, but with children as fast as you are doing it, somewhere the children are undoing it unless you box your children in a room and dont allow them to be children, i see no other way that you can constantly keep it tidy and clean without the need to constantly tidy.

I am still a single parent, and my twins are 5 and i work full time, and it is definately alot harder than when i was at home, i personally believe that a job is a full time commitment and raising children is a full time commitment, and when you add both, well you have no life as there just simply isnt time for anything else. It is a personal decision i believe everyone is entitled to make and there is no right of wrong answer as to whether you decide to work or not, what i cant stand or tolerate is when people pass judgement on others lives without having a clue, every persons situation in unique to them, and nobody has the right to judge them.

I agree with Happy.

And they get half when there is a divorce because when you marry income becomes one no matter who is making the money.

im a stay at home mom & it is hard work, i stay at home & look after my children because i do not want a childminder or any body else raising my children, it is my job.

as for the house, its clean, a bit messy, but i don't stay at home to take care of the house, it is secondary to my kids needs.

as for the divorce & getting half, i would want half, im happily married, i devote all my time to our children, they r well mannerd & happy children, i get my husband suits dry cleaned & i wash & iron his shirts, i have dinner on the table when he gets home, i make him lunch for work, i make sure all the bills are paid on time.

in other words, i enable my husband to put 100% into his job & climb the career ladder. as long as he keeps bringing in the money i will continue being a good wife & a good mother.

behind evey good man is a great woman.

P.S my husband is a very loving & generous man. & it is hard work as there never seems to be enough hours in the day, but we are a happy, functioning family.

EDIT if i did have a job i wouldnt be doing the things i do now, i would be paying someone else to raise my children for me.

wow. you have no respect for women whatsoever.
they don't only take care of the kids and even if they only did, handling children all day is harder than it seems. i think you need to take a step back. if you think that handling twins all day is easy, you must not pay much attention to them.
women do a lot around the house, they make sure meals are cooked, the house is clean, and still find ways to pay the bills and do other odds and ends around the house.
you should really just take this question down if you want women to like you.
