I've been with this girl for the better part of 10 years. About 3 months after she started taking adhd medicine she started getting real paranoid. She started searching through the computer for signs of me cheating or hiding things from her. She's had all my passwords forever. She told me she wanted to take my jump drive and hard drive to a computer guy to have it looked over, I told her I would pay. Then she told me I was monitoring her web activity on my ipod touch from work, I told her if I knew how to do that I wouldn't be working at my current job. I would do everything I could to be as open as possible to her. Leave my cell phone home so she could see who called me. Always leaving it on the counter so if she felt she had to go through it she could. One day my inbox was full (150 text msg) and since they went back months and I had read them all I deleted them. This set her off! Now we've been broken up for 3 months, she has a new boyfriend. I don't really know what she's up to but she asked me to go sailing with her and her dad one day after dropping off the kids. Then later that night she text me that some guys that I was friends with in high school were spying on her for me? I don't talk to these guys on a regular basis. I called one of the guys she mentioned and told him to stop if they were screwing with her. He said she accused him of the same thing. What the hell is up with her? I'm having a hard time getting over her and just wanna keep my distance, but we have 2 kids together and I'm starting to worry more than normal about what she's thinking.

If her behavior started around the same time as the new meds, then she could be having side effects from the meds. Typically, ADHD meds have to be adjusted and monitored until you find the proper dosage for a person. She should refer back to her doctor to rule out this, or any other potential side effects before it gets worse. However, it's also possible that she started becoming paranoid of your behavior because of her own guilty conscience! The fact that she's already in a new relationship after only being 3 months out of a 10 yearlong marriage raises an eyebrow. Perhaps this relationship actually began before ya'lls relationship ended, and she started worrying that if she could cheat, then so could you! |

When someone has adhd it is a chemical problem in the brain which can lead to things like depression, low self esteem, and being irrational but not to the point of being paranoid. The meds if anything would help with these problems and not increase them. Is it not possible to speak to her doctor?, or even another doctor if you had the name of her medication and you know her history he might be able to shed some light on the subject. My brother suffers from schizophrenia (sorry don't know how to spell) and this sounds to me more like what she if suffering from. Good Luck!!! |

who knows. but just visit your kids. make a visiting arrangement where it doesn't need her present. this should give you two space to figure out each other and stay focused on the bigger picture...your kids. |

Maybe when she was accusing your friends of spying on her, she was wishful thinking. Maybe she wants to think you care that much but won't admit it. |
