I have been friends with this man for years, always, in work he talks to me like we are just colleagues, awkward and stilted. With others he is free, flirty, chatty etc. It was always like this and I got a big shock when I found out that he said he was in love with me. I asked him about why he never spoke much or flirted with me yet comes out and says he loves me and he said that should be telling me something. That was years ago. We never got together, cause his flirty confident manner made me insecure, so we didnt speak for months at all. Now it is ok with us again but still, the same distance.
Yesterday I was very upset and lost the plot at work. Now remember, I have kissed this man and told him in the past that I loved him too. He was walking out in front of me, I said hello, he said hello back but nevr stopped to talk, but made a big deal out of holding the door for me. I stayed outside in the car park and without knowing it, he had come up behind me. The first I knew was he was pouring a bottle of water down a drain right behind me. He never said hello. I said jes you gave me a fright and laughed but he stayed serious and then started talking to me in this stilted manner again and walked away. OK if he has no feelings, why not just be a mate to me? If he does (like he did in the past) why not ask my what is wrong at least and why doesnt he talk to me like other friends of his anyway? Why did he never?
