Why is my wife being so selfish?

She works all the time, (She is a Pharmacist), she hardly ever has time for me. So I decided to take on a few hobbies. I golf, and since she has been working so much these last few years, I have been golfing a lot, in fact I golf so much that I give lessons for extra cash.

On wednesday nights she typically has an all night shift at work and I go play poker with my golf buddies. This has been going on for over a year. My golf buddies can't play cards or golf very well and I usually take their money ( sometimes over 700 a week), they are rich guys who own companies or have trust funds. We typically have a couple of strippers over for poker night and get lap dances and the ocasional "extra". As much as my wife works its the only action I get most weeks.
So my wife gets her all nighter changed to Thursdays and wants me to watch movies on the couch with her on Wednesdays. I told her the guys can't all chage their scedule because she changed her shift, that she should change it back to Wednesdays, and she argues that she specifically asked to ahve it changed so she could have wednesdays at home with me. But we already have Thursdays at home together, and Thursdays is not poker night.

I think she heard a rumor from one of the wives and wanted to change her shift to intentionally screw up my poker night.

Then she goes into this long diatribe about how I don't do enough with the kids and I am playing golf all the time, HEY I picked the kids up from school TWICE last week. and I drop them off twice every week I even missed a Tee Time because of it.

What is her problem? Why is she being so selfish?

Oh ya, she;s selfish. Do you even work? No, you get laid by chicks with STD's who are not your wife. She has every right to mess up your poker night. I mean, you are married, and most married people promised to not have affairs. Which is what you are doing, just in a very classless, very cheap way. But, poor you. Now she's taken that away from you! Even though you dropped the kids off at school twice! Oh, you should win the best father award for that. I mean, you missed Tee-off and everything--how did you survive??

Grow up. If you want to get action, stop whining and enjoy your wed. nights with her.

Sorry man but u sound like the selfish one. She made an effort to change the schedule so she can spend time with you and then u back out and tell her to change back so u and your buddies can have poker night and a lil extra with strippers? I wouldnt blame her at all to change the schedule so she can make sure u dont go out and play with strippers. Sounds like u want play time with the guys, no time with kids, play time with strippers and play time with the wife without her complaining about anything. Like someone mentioned earlier. You don't know what you have and you just got so much used to having your poker night and much delight in your "extra" that you've neglected to see the importance of your marriage. She has dedicated a whole day off from work for you and that's your chance to do your way with her and have romance fly off the charts and you're wasting it on no good stippers. Your loss!

YOU sound like the selfish one to me. so what if your wife found out about your little poker night and strippers. i would have done a lot worse if i heard a rumor about my husband doing stuff like that. you are lucky your wife is staying with you....and picking up your kids only twice a week???? you sound pretty lazy to me. what do you even do? if you are so bored that you had to pick up golfing AND your dirty little poker night, then it doesnt sound like you are doing enough for your family.
