People are messed up today.......they should get a divorce first, then pursue the person. Why be a rude, vicious person and hurt your spouse.....get a divorce and everyone involved can move on instead of going through additional pain.

It could be for many reasons. Married individuals may look toward another person to fulfill emptiness they may feel in their lives. Another possibility maybe that they are bored or they do not love their spouse anymore. Unfortunately, to some people, vows do not mean anything.

Not all married people cheat! I have never cheated on my hubby and he has never cheated on me. We both think that is the worst thing that anybody can do to someone.

Usually they feel they are not getting what they want/need at home. Sadly it usually just makes a bad situation worse.

Because their home life isn't satisfying. Maybe they want someone younger. And not all people who love and care about eachother should get married. And as my mom says, " Men are creeps". No offense.

i think each person must find that answer in oneself I believe if there is something missing between two people the soul looks for the answer married or not human nature is human nature to be happy and complete

I think the meaning of marriage has gone sooo downhill within the last few decades... Guys have asked me a few times to marry, but I refuse to do it if a. they dont value its meaning or b. I can't see myself wanting to be with them for the rest of my life. Marriage should be for life, there should be divorces...damn that Henry VIII!! Marriage is supposed to be meaningful, sacred, a show of unity, loyalty, til death do you part...its a shame people just make rash decisions and marry because they want to have their big day early... too many divorces...its very disappointing...

At the time of taking vows, those two people really do believe in commitments, but with time people grow and change, not necessarily the ideal way, but, what is the ideal way? I believe it is only because there is something lacking within the marriage, only very few of us can stay faithfull in that case, we must be willing to recognise this as a sign and possibly work with the actual spouse before any further damage is done. In some cases it may even be that those two people were not suited to each other in the first place, only after marriage do they realise after getting to know one another, at this stage we must really recognise this as well and stop holding on and move on, cause I do believe that love does conquer all, if not right the first time then try again. Most people do get it right by the second time! True love does exist, you just need to be strong and look for it, eventually it does come.

It is not the 'vows' ..it is the person! Either the person has the right morals and commitment to be faithful..or they don't. A piece of paper, and vows in a church will not make someone..something they aren't.

Some Men just happen to have certain problems in their life such a womanizers, perverts and depression.
Even though, they may say they love their spouse, if he cannot control his emotions when a woman makes herself present and available, then your going to have problems.
When a man has determined that he wnats one woman in his life and really truly believes that, he can prove it by his actions, but very few often fail when approached by the one that seeks their love and romance.
One must be stronger than you can imagine to honor a vow with his bride to not allow any one woman to seduce or even think she has a chance at him and his non repsonse will cause them to try harder, but not one man that has not sinned can thrwo a stone and neither can a woman.

because life is not a dressed rehearsal and sometimes the temptation to be with someone different despite the risks is overwhelming and Ive been married for 20 years which by today's standards is a life time. why is it women always presume that it is men that cheat just as many women cheat today as men

Im 22 years old. and i have never cheated on anyone of my girlfriends....although i am currently dating i have plans to marry my current girlfriend and make her an HONEST woman.... i have been cheated on more than id care to be, and every time iv asked them why they did it,.....they were all full of sorrow and regret when i found out but i still could not figure out why i diserved to be betrayed.
in my experiance you just cant trust anyone. and there is no one reason why people cheat,
all you can do is love and hope you have an honest lover, hope this is usefull to you.

Times are changing rapidly. Our grandfathers did not have Internet to access the information. New ideas keep on pouring in from all directions. If we are not smart, some one else will take the opportunity. Every one wishes to have experiences of all kinds, including the ones the spouse is unable to provide. Some wives, ( being a husband, I can speak of men's perspective), do not like certain things in the bed, which may be the men's fantasy, so he wishes to have that experience.

The marriage vows are still in tack. Only the meaning has changed a little with the advent of Internet.

The husband wishes to continue the marriage. this can happen vice versa as well. It is thatlittle thing which the person in marriage craves for that makes him / her cheat.

People cheat because of the pleasure and excitement of meeting someone knew.
Most affairs begin almost subconsciously. You meet someone way out of your league and you start talking as friend and slowly start to wonder if they are attracted to you. You donâ€™t want to cheat but you do want to find-out if they are attracted to you?
First you think your leading them a stray, but you keep harmlessly flirting to find out if they fancy you. One thing leads to another and before you know it your having the greatest s** of your life during your lunch break in hotel posit the office!

That all depends on why people get married to start with.
Some people marry because that's what society expect (perfect picture). Some get married because they really and truly love their spouse and believe in the vows. Others marry purely for material reasons. I could give a number of reasons.

At the end of the day unless you truly love one another and you've married for the right reason then you will work through any cracks in the marriage.

If on the other hand you get married for any reason other than that then there is nothing to lose in cheating in actual fact it would be much easier for these people to cheat.

This is just an opinion!
