Why won't he tell his parents we broke up?

My ex never opened up emotionally and it ruined our relationship, but he would never tell his parents or friends when we broke up. In fact, he let me send a gift to his mother right before telling me he couldn't be with me or give me what I need. We apart now, but he still won't tell his parents we aren't together. Any advice on what gives? Is it possible that he's gay and I was a good cover up?

Maybe he's afraid his parents will get on him for letting a good thing go and just doesn't want to deal with it. Or maybe he isn't ready to admit it's over. I highly doubt it's because he's gay and using it as a cover up. |

Trust your instincts. Immediately sever all ties to him so you can leave the drama behind and get on with your life. There is something going on here and I think you should run as fast as you can. Good luck to you. |

Don't worry about it.
You will go nuts worrying about why he is doing what he is doing. You know you broke up. Just move on with your life. Do the things you want to...see the guys you want.
Some day someone will say 'did you go out with Mr. X' and you can say 'oh, he didn't tell you...we broke up a long time ago'. Let them deal with him. After all he is your ex.
Is he gay or does he have other emotional issues who knows. I know in my youth I was very, very bad at sharing personal info and I'm a lot of things but gay is not on the list.
Move on...enjoy life.
