Why would a girl do this?
|
The love of my life and I have been dating for roughly 3 months. We took a break to be friends because we jumped into things too fast. We've been hanging out a few times a week.
Well yesterday she came over and we cuddled for like 2 hours and talked about how she's gonna decorate my room in my new house this september and we're gonna decorate a christmas tree. We casually talked about getting married. Afterwards had this great make out session. After about 10 minutes she said she had to go and later she told me we can't do it again until we know if we're going to stay together.
I know this girl loves me. At first, she felt like she never had a chance with a guy like me. She's so at peace when I hold her in my arms. You can just tell she feels safe and comfortable. Why is it that when we kissed she felt like it was a set back to us being friends and getting to know each other? Why is she so insecure about having a relationship? To the point where it makes her unhappy?

It sounds like she is confused. She wants to be with you but is possible scared of getting hurt or putting too much of herself out there.
If you are taking a break and just being "friends" then you need to act like friends--no cuddling, no kissing etc...
I would personally tell her how you feel and then let her make the decision what she wants ( stay friends or getting back into a relationship) if she tells you she doesn't know, then that is your answer and you let go until she makes up her mind.
This will be a constant roller coaster ride if you don't.
Good Luck . |

She wants to feel that she is not wasting her time on you if nothing is going to progress. She evidently wants a committed relationship. |

Your question makes no sense since you say she's the love of your life and you are hers. Why bother taking a break? Simply tell her things are ok and you should just be together without overthinking anything any further. If you're meant to be then things will take care of themselves. Let her know it's time for you to relax and see where things go. |

Honestly, it could be many things. Her fear of commitment, fear of getting hurt, maybe she's talking to other ppl, who knows. Talk to her first before jumping to conclusions. I'm sure a good, healthy discussion will clear up some fogginess. |

Honestly, she sounds really confused.
I would just make it clear, once more, how you feel for her, tell her that you will always be there for her...but after that, just take a huge step back. Give her space. I know it may be scary because they're not active in your everyday life like you had imagined. But the last thing you want to do is make her feel smothered.
You can try to ask her the questions you just asked Yahoo, or if you've already tried and she doesn't have the answers, just seriously, step back and let her figure herself out. Obviously she's not mentally at a secure place to be having a relationship if she's playing games or confusing other people. That not fair to you. You come first. Step back and let her come to you.
Plus...it's only been 3 MONTHS. |

Don't invest emotionally. Look for substantial reasons that she is not committing right now. If you can't find any or if she uses the "moving too fast" excuse, let her go because she won't make up her mind. |
