Why would he tell me he was going to leave?

Why did he tell me that he was going to leave her one day. That she was very nagging and possessive, always says what's on her mind, but it's getting his nerves. He said he'd get his own place one day and then he'd find someone he could trust and settle down with them. If that's how he feels then why is he still living with her?

Why do guys tell other people about their plans to leave their girlfriends and start over but they never tell their girlfriends? Does this mean he doesn't trust her? I'm sure there's something good because he wouldn't still be there if it wasn't. But continue to waste someone else's time when you know that eventually, when you get yourself together that you'll be moving on?

It's a sure thing

He will tell you whatever it takes to keep you hanging around. Do you even know if he is telling you the truth about her? What is she is really sweet and great and her only down fall is being with a cheating lying SOB. Even if he does leave her for you...what then? When will your simple questions and request turn into "nagging" and because you know how he is, how long before you become "possessive"? How long before he cheats on you?

It's an easy way to keep both of you.. That way he can have the best of both worlds... It may be a fantasy of his to leave someday.. But the actual act of leaving is probably just that, a fantasy.. Most men do not want the conflict and are happy with having the one at home to take care of them and have that domestic life with her and having the woman on the side for recreation and fantasy,, That fantasy life that seems so perfect..It is his escape and he will say or promise anything to keep it that way...

because if he tells her about how he feels she might try to change to keep the relationship together, and he really doesn't want that, he wants to leave her.he is probably being honest with u, but just isn't sure yet if he wants to go. he is telling u because he wants to see if theres a future with u, a man will hardly ever leave even when there are problems until he has a sure thing with the other girl. men don't like being alone.
