Well really the entire Bible should be read. But I am thinking that the book of Ephesians might be a good place for you to start.

It's not a scripture, but really reading the Serenity prayer and believing that God is there will help you a lot.. I'm sorry for what you're going through..

or you could just look in the Bible for the word or phrase that you may have in question. When I was at a really down point I would just open the Book and whatever page it landed on after reading the whole chapter/verse I swear it would make me feel that much better. I am sorry that you are going through this. Have you thought that maybe God wants something better for you? I will tell you I have a broken family too. I have a 1 yr old and 3 yr old son. I raise them alone. Their dad is in jail going away. I am hurt, my big guy is constantly asking for "daddy" and I get* not have to take him fishing, play with them in the park etc. You need to at the very least get the contact in with your babies. My kids aren't going to know who this guy is because he's going to be gone the most important years of development. I say oh well. He didn't do anything that bad, just a selfish alcoholic. Ill keep ya'll in my prayers k? Sorry to hear and hope that just opening the Bible to any page gets you through like it did me. You will be able to relate to almost any page you open it to, it's going to make you feel better.

Can't you at least talk to your daughter if not your wife? I personally find comfort in the book of Job. Not only did he have incredible faith, but when God asks him where he was when God when was creating the earth, it's revealing how little we know of the power of God. He is amazing beyond what our minds can comprehend. Vaya con dios.
