If you didn't have plans during the day then then I don't see the problem.
Well I do, but I understand why he doesn't. Guys don't read the emotional subtext like women do. So you're husband simply saw an opening in his schedule and decided to go golfing. Which is not a malicious act but a logistical one.
(note: keep in mind I have no idea what you or your husband or your relationship is like at all. So I'm speaking very, very generally.) |

A round of golf is about 4 hours out of the day, I would not expect them to spend the whole day with me. You must realize it is THEIR anniversary too and this makes him happy. Spend your day at the spa and have a wonderful afternoon/evening together. |

If he told me well in advance, I probably wouldn't care...besides, that would give me time to make a spa appt! Woo!
But if he sprang it on me the morning of...I wouldn't be too excited. |

I might be a little annoyed. I would think that's a day for you to spend together especially if those days are limited. I suppose if the golf part was short lived and you typically are together often, eh, not such a biggie, especially since you still do have plans. So, no, probably not for a few hours.Id, instead take advantage and get a wax and a hot new dress to wear to dinner. |

I might be hurt if I enjoyed playing golf and he didn't offer take me with him. Other than that, I wouldn't care. What's four hours in the scheme of things? Give him a big hug and kiss when he comes home and enjoy your dinner. |

We make plans to celebrate and anything outside those plans is free. Since you planned dinner, that is what he is thinking and so he went golfing.
Men and women look at these things often so differently. |

I'd probably not be thrilled, but it would really depend on the situation...how often does he go, what other plans do we have together...how much time do we typically spend together, what number anniversary is it, etc...I wouldn't be furious (unless we never got to spend time together), and depending on the situation I might not really be upset at all...I'd make jokes about knowing where he could get a 'hole in one'...or one in a hole... ☺♥☻ |

If it where for a charity event or put on by his employer probably not. If it is just for fun and he could go any other weekend then I would be upset. |

sweetheart, i wish i understand men....you are lucky your husband just went golfing. My husband and i had a terrible fight on our anniversary day because i wanted to take him out to mark the day. He got annoyed and was like whats the big deal with wedding anniversary, I was so hurt that i got myself drowned in booze..... Men sometimes dont cherish somethings as we ladies do. Every woman is so anxious and excited about anniversary..........whiles most men on the other hand just dont give a damn about it.
Who knows your hubby might have something special for you when he comes back.....dont fret too much about it yet..........afterall you guys will be having dinner tonight. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU THOUGH |
