Wobbly moment with ex....still no contact but feeling a bit rubbish.?

No contact continues between me and the (married) guy I was seeing up until the start of this year. I was with him for 1 year or so before it all came out, and his wife found out.
Everyone here has been lovely to me and encouraging. I changed my number a few weeks ago now, and as far as I know he has no way to reach me. I also blocked him from my email + Facebook, and there isn't really any other way for him to reach me without him making a fair bit of effort, which I truly think he will not bother with.
However the complete absence of contact makes me wonder what he is doing...I AM doing really well, I think, and the benefits of not seeing him far outweigh the bad bits.
Believe me I am punishing myself enough already for this, and I believe this part of my life (suffering and deeply regretting what we did) is my payback.
If I am being completely honest, I am wondering if he thinks of me sometimes, and I know I should not worry what he is thinking/doing.
Just how long til this man leaves my thoughts??

Paul and Frank, it was actually me who broke it off with him, and he who stalked me relentlessly for many months - I think telling ME to respect his choice and leave HIM alone is way too harsh.

no one can give you a time frame on how long it will be before you can truly be over him. but i can tell you that this whole experience should have given you much wisdom for the days to come. & hopefully you do not make the same mistakes again.
as for him ... a year is a fair amount of time to be with someone, & he'll never forget you. like you are with him, he will think of you from time to time. but it is time to realize that he, like a few others you have or will come across, need not be in your life (for they will bring you down).
do your best not to let history repeat itself. live your life the best you can ... everything else ALWAYS works itself out. |

Thinking about this isn't going to do you a bit of good. This man has obviously made his choice and you need to respect that, move on and get on with your life. The old saying time heals all wounds is fitting here. |
