I know my wife loves it when I help cook and clean and do stuff around the house those duties should be shared in any relationship especially marriage. Plus it help's that I'm a professional cook. Guys need to help out around the house it is their dutie as well to keep the house in order it is there investment also and it is called respecting your mate.

Yes!!! My fiance' does all the cooking in the house(because I can't cook, and he loves too), and we try to share the other duties, but he does them most of the time. I am very appreciative that he does all that. He usually insists on me to relax while he does everything, but I can't let him do it all, all the time.

well i actually like doin all the cookin and cleaning idk why but i enjoy it but i do like it when every once in a while my husband will have dinner ready or he gets up and cooks breakfast and yea its nice if he makes up the bed too. but some women get offended by it because they might think that you are tryin to tell them that they arent doin a good job.

IF my man did that stuff, I'd worship him. Right now I have a man that still lives in the 1800's but likes it when I pay for stuff. Figure that one out....

However I do all of the catering and while I don't mind, I do have a problem with paying for everything else too. That's just way toooooo much. While I believe a woman might have "duties" a man has "duties" too. If he can't help with one, he definitely should be helping out with the other!!

Also, you figure I am 35. I've been around the block a few times. The younger the woman that replies the less likely she is REALLY going to understand or appreciate a man who does this stuff. She will want more. The key is, if you are with someone who has lived on their own for a bit and is a little older then they know what it takes to make a relationship work. They'll appreciate the little things and honey, these aren't just "little things" you speak of. They add up to a WHOLE LOT!!!

oh yeah, especially if children were in the pic. He would be very appreciated and even more loved if he did all that and not complain.

Although I don't expect him to do it all the time, he does have a full time job, and I'm a stay at home mother of 4.

However, I don't get evenings, weekends and Holidays off like he does. So it is nice when he pitches in to help out around the house.

And after 4 kids, there is nothing I appreciate more, or find more attractive than when he helps out around the house.

Of course, that is something every man should do, my husband only helps me around the house when he is really bored but when he does, he does a great job !

Well, yes and no. i certainly appreciate the fact that my husband doesn't expect me to do everything around the house all the time, even though I am a housewife and he has a full-time job.

BUT he is so blindingly efficient at everything that he sometimes makes me feel quite inadequate (nothing I clean EVER looks as clean as it does when he cleans it, for instance). Sometimes(especially when I'm sulking because he's told me off about something i've overlooked) I think a man who was less efficient might be easier to live with.

I am very sorry that your wife left you, but although help with the housework is jolly nice, there must have been something else that was lacking in your life. I hope you will have better luck next time.

It is not bad, because this way they can also work together, but I can't imagine a house(family, relationship) where only the man cooks, knows how to cook, or just wants to cook.
The point is that a woman should know how to cook, it's like something that should be taught to every girl since her teens(at 10-12 till the day she leaves the house). This way, there is more healthy food, less arguments, and more love.
