hi , having hard life 8 years of domestic abuse , so decided to move on on left him , have 3 under age of 5 sons , how to tell them no papa coming to see them or don't know what is easy to make them understand we cant be with their father?thanks already everybody

sorry , i ment i will leave not left him at the moment , i asked should i leave and most adviced i have given by yahoo answers was :he won't change , i have alot bruise and pain from him , if i report police , they will never let him close to us may be, so if i run away again they wont see him , but then if i stay he says i cant leave him or he will take the kids and he will kill me , even if i find the way to divorce and supervise kids to see him , he says one day i will surprise what he can do?...i am not mean and if i wanted them never seen their dad i would have already reported him police , just trying to find best way , but he is soo imposible to make the peaceful seperation....thanks anyway for advices...

No it won't be easy BUT it would be the best thing you could do for your children, Any kind of abuse should not be tolerated because this will only escalate to worse things.
* Call the police.
* Avoid becoming isolated and confide in someone.
* Do not feel shame and know that no one has the right to hit or control you with fear.
* Know that there is no excuse for abuse, it is not your fault and you are not alone.
* Keep a record (including pictures if possible) and hide it carefully.
* Consider ending the relationship as soon as possible.
* Develop a safety/exit plan that does not include confronting your abuser:
1. Know emergency numbers.
2. Keep spare house and car keys and a suitcase with essentials hidden but accessible.
3. Know where you can stay in an emergency.
4. Hide key documents and some emergency money
5. Work out a distress signal-system with a friend or loved one.

well just because you guys are split up doesnt mean they shouldnt see their dad. If you guys were victums of abuse, you can always get supervised visitations with a social worker so that they can see their dad in a safe enviornment. Stay Strong!! |

Tell them the truth for as much as they will understand it. Tell them that mommy and daddy just can't live together anymore and that they will get to go and see daddy at different times. If you have to you can throw in that they can call him if they need to talk to him. |

I was mentally abused for 12 years, good for you for getting away after 8. I would tell your sons daddy is working in another state and will be gone for a long long while. They do not need to know your pain or what he did to you. You will move on with a new life and they will grow up better without seeing the abuse you suffered. Good luck... I had many good things happen in life after, but I was still scared for a few years after. |
