And act like roomates then its not worth celebrating is it ?
If you are like this why did you move back in ?
If its because you love him and it works out for you both

If you are working on keeping together the celebration is worthwhile, if you are going throught the motions, no card or a simple inexpensive gift will tell him you care.

If you are trying to work it out, then yes you should make some sort of date or something for it.

if i wanted to work things out with him...If I wanted to put the past behind us and start fresh...if I wanted our relationship to move from "roommates" to "husband and wife" ....then yes, I would get him a small, non expensive..."more from the heart" gift. I'd probably get him something that reminds him of the good times...before the problems started. Or take him someplace we used to go in the beginning..when we first fell in love.

If I didn't want the relationship to continue...then no, I wouldn't do anything for the anniversary.

If you want things to work out, then yes, I would. That would be a genuine gesture towards him and acknowledgement of the relationship. But if you really don't care if it works out or not, then I would ignore it. It doesn't have to be something perfect, just something heartfelt. Something that shows him that you're in it for the right reasons and that even after all this, you still care about him.

Its a marriage, not a card game. You need to be either all in or all out. If you are just halfway "dipping your toes in the water of being married to him" then you may as well just leave. Otherwise treat it like you treated any prior anniversary or what you expect future anniversaries to be like. On our last anniversary I was so close to leaving my wife that I literally didn't speak to her the whole day, slept on the couch by my own choosing etc. But I still gave her a nice gift.
