No because you could never have a normal relationship. In order to really get to know someone you would need to spend time with them like go on dates and that wouldn't be possible it they are in prison. Also I think someone who dates/marries someone in prison would be very lonely.

The fact that you're asking this question says a whole lot. NEVER. It's a dead end! I feel so bad for women that get caught in this trap. I feel even more sorry for the children. Even if there are no children involved, there could be in the future, thanks to congregal visits. How can he ever contribute in a meaningful way to his family? They can work in prison but they typically make a few cents an hour. This is ultimately why many black families are in such bad shape. If one parents, spouse etc. is in jail for life, that's not a family. That's what you call DYSFUCTIONAL. Work on your self-esteem and pray. Best wishes.

That depends on what you need from a relationship. I am currently involved with someone who is serving a life sentence and we have been involved for 4 years. he is a wonderful person and I get alot from the relationship. I am not very needy in the physical aspect of things and therefore it is enough for me.
It can be trying at times but I love him and I take the good with the bad as with any relationship. I had a husband who was there 24/7 and it was the most dysfunction I had ever encountered in my life. Its all about how you feel and how he makes you feel.

Life sentence is for 15 years typically, so if you can wait for 15 years to have that person and u love him so much than you can marry

Personally no. But I do know some people who do. And admire the for it. But I would expect that both partners understand that since this is a life sentence, that eventually one or both of you will need a jump off. A Jump off meaning someone on the side. It takes a very dedicated person to stay the long haul.

I hope you knew this person already. If you're penpals I would suggest that you be careful. Prisoners have a tendecy to be very manipulative and you don't know why, who, or what you're getting into with a stranger. But if this was someone you loved on the outside before they went to prison...I don't see why not. Just know it is hard.

um, no. and if i had already been with them before they went to jail, i would probably leave them. apparently they did something really bad

if you have to ask that question, you know the answer to it, its no. what could they possibly offer to you? seriously, your life together would be watched at every moment, every step. there are more people out on the streets that you could share your life with, and not have to go through that.
