But you are not describing a sister/brother in law. You are talking about step-sister/step-brother marrying. |

Well maybe not in Texas, but they could anywhere in the real US, I think. As long as their is no blood relationship within 3 degrees of separation, I don't think there is anything illegal about it. |

In most places, that would be illegal. Marriages between people who are directly related by either consanguinity (blood relations) or affinity (by marriage between other people), are generally not legal. So, if someone had been your parent, child, grandparent, grandchild, niece/nephew, aunt/uncle, brother/sister at any time (and this includes half and step relations as well), you cannot marry that person. |
