Find answers to your legal question.

i work near my ex and i'm really scared of bumping into him. what should i do if i see him?

ignore him? pretend nothing happened and acknowledge him?

he really hurt me when we broke up a few months ago. and i don't think i can handle seeing him. but i'm also really embarrassed because i feel like he saw a very vulnerable side of me. i kind of really lost it on him when i found out he was cheating... and he saw a side of me that he never saw before.

so what should i do if i see him? i think i would feel really embarrassed because of the way i reacted when i found out he cheated!

If he says hi FIRST then just say hi back and smile...keep it as short as possible and then keep acting like you have some where important to be. There isn't a reason you can't say hi atleast. But don't ever agree to "go out to lunch" , don't go out of your way to be friendly, and don't make plans to hang out outside of the workplace.

In my opinion what this says about someone is your being the bigger person by saying hi back but not being a door mat.

Hold your head up high and realize it was HIM who f**ked up. You have no reason to be embarrassed. You were vulnerable and there's nothing wrong with that. But if you acknowledge him with a meaningless smile and just nod, he'll probably think that he didn't do as much damage as he thought. You're human and you reacted. Now it's time to ACT like you could not care less. Good luck.

Or how about "hello, how are you?" and keep on walking.

Simply tell him hello and leave it at that

good luck

Run the other way, screaming at the top of your lungs.

For God's sake - it's just your ex. He's a person. Do you panic every time you see a familiar person?

Be yourself. Who cares if you were a raving lunatic when he cheated on you? Your behaviour then was justified. Being scared or embarrased to run into him isn't.

If he cheated on you, he's the one that should be embarrassed when he sees you, not you! Just act like absolutely nothing, say "hey" very casually and keep walking.
