19D Open to Army Reserve?

I do believe I'm getting lied to by my Recruiter, as I was given a list for all the jobs I qualify for (ASVAB scores and my vision). The list is a dumb list, full of jobs I don't care about. Yet, Infantry is NOT on this list, which makes me think Something is up. I got a 95 CO GT Score, so I know I qualify for 19D.

He wants me to do 21B (Combat Eng)

Now, thing is, the Army RESERVE offical site, states 19D is open to reserve, yet my recruiter says IT IS NOT. Neither is Infantry, as it is a Combat job. I would ask him, But I feel I'm getting lied to, as the facts don't add up.

Can some one clarify for me?
IS 19D OPEN TO ARMY RESERVE?
IS 11B OPEN TO ARMY RESERVE?
IS 13F OPEN TO ARMY RESERVE?

In general, there are very very few Combat Arms jobs in the Army Reserve. I have no idea if the Reserve has 19D, 11B, or 13B. GoArmy.com says they do.

If your recruiter tells you that these jobs are not available; that means that there are no units with these jobs in your area, or there are no vacancies in your area for these jobs.

Your recruiter cannot look at every unit in the entire Army, because the Army Reserve has policies in place regarding the maximum distance you can travel to training.

Your recruiter has absolutely no incentive to lie to you about this. He wants to put you in the Army, and he wants you to be happy, because he might end up in the same Reserve unit as you.

The reason he is telling you about 21B is that 21B is a combat arms job, and it is probably the only combat arms job available in your area.

You recruiter could be telling the truth...most, if not all, combat arms jobs like 11B, 13F, and 19D don't have a unit or slot in the Army Reserve.I know there some, but are senior NCOs and officers. Things could have change due to the current conflict. There was only one Army Reserve infantry unit and its in Hawaii (100th Inf. Bn). The Guard is way different.
You can ask other recruiters instead of being pissed here and blaming just this one. Research young man, research. Go active or NG if you want a CO job so bad. The GoArmy site doesn't filter right either with and where the jobs are. Trust me. So just talk to someone face to face. Get used to it if you want to be a grunt. Screw a computer and ranting. That's not how a future grunt or scout rolls.

So please don't call our recruiters liars. There have a demanding job and if you don't help with the research, then it makes it harder.

I can't speak to 19D. 11B is available in the Reserves, but you'll be a drill sergeant. I was in one of those units. Insofar as having to enter as an NCO, I went in as a corporal, but a couple of privates wound up in the unit at one point.

I would think they would all be open. Try asking a different recruiter.
