31bravo mp and security clearance?

i qualify for 31b (military police) except i have a past conviction for destruction of public property i just got locked up 8 hours overnight but my recruiter said since i didn't go to jail i just got community service hours i might get a waiver and still pass the security clearance but this is all up to the ppl at meps now what are the chances of me getting this job?

That is something that will be determined at the MEPS level, as far as whether they will grant you a waiver. But one thing to keep in mind, is that regardless of whether or not you went to jail you were still punished for a crime - community service, fines, etc...- by you recieving a punishment you have admitted guilt for that crime, and thus it still goes under consideration. |
