4 man fire teams...for Marines?

i was wonderin because i found out today my brother(Marine Corp) uses some kind of machine gun in a 4 man fire team.. i wanted to know what kind of guns they use ine the 4 man teams. if u know please tell me

SAW M249 Squad Automatic Weapon. 5.56 mm round same as M16.

yes a 4 man fire team is half of a squad which is 8 marines and most will have an M16A4 and some with an M203 grenade launcher. Your brother most have been using an M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) and they all will have an Beretta M9 pistol as their secondary weapon.

Like most say, the M249 SAW. All fireteams are based around the SAW operator.

Probably 3 guys with the m16A4, probably at least 1 of them has the m203 grenade launcher attachment and your brother probably uses an m249 machine gun
