No one said we did not care, they never asked. |

Who said they don't? I do, but what can I do about it? And don't tell me support the anti-war movement. You should know damn well that leaving know will probably result in even more death and violence over there. |

For 30 years, when Saddam was killing on the average of 30,000 a year of his country man we didn't care then, especially in the 90's when was his major killing spree's.....what its not all Bush's fault? |
|

 |
Americans don't care because when the towers fell, they danced in the Middle East....and when American troops reach over to hand candy to Iraqi kids, they get live gunfire and RPGs in return. Caring is a two way street! |

because that is a lie |

We do care. That is part of why we are there. How many of those 665,000 were killed by Saddam and his regime? |
|

numbers have no impact on us anymore...unless of course they involve the price per gallon of the "good life." now that's a fact, public approval of the government/president goes down more when our gas prices go up than when the number of mortalities of even our own soldiers is on a rise. |
|

A Balrog of Morgoth
 |
Because those numbers are pretty much made up.
Good to see you on board with us caring about the fate of the Iraqi people, though.
It would be a damn shame if we left precipitously and doomed them to a bloody Shitte-Sunni civil war. |

Because that is an arbitrary number that you pulled from your butt. |

I care about the innocent ones that have died, but I surely don't care about the ones who are not. Question I have for you though is, would you rather have that country be overrun by insurgency and then have the war in your country, or would rather try to keep yourself and your family safe by battling the insurgency where it lies? |
|

There country has been at war with its self fighting among the tribes for years so your questions is what again? |

DOOM

First off, it's about 55,000. In four years. Saddam killed 184,000 Kurds in one day. What did they do wrong? They were Kurdish.
Your 665,000 figure was put together by a far left British group. They didn't let themselves get bogged down in facts. Instead, they went door to door in Iraq. Yeah, that's accurate. Much more-so than an actual body count.
Anyhow, if we assumed that your false figure is accurate, 69% of those deaths were not a result of America's liberation efforts. That means that either terrorists killed them, or they just died. People die every day of natural causes.
Of course I care; that's why I don't want to give Iraq to the terrorists when I leave.
But you'll never hear any of that on Air America, National Public Radio, CBS News, ABC News, NBC News, MSNBC, CNN, or The View. |

We do care, thats why were there. |
|

Dave_Stark
 |
Because the figure of 665000 dead Iraqis is grossly inflated over the real death toll.
And let's not forget the MILLIONS that Saddam killed during his 30-year reign of terror.
Go put that in your pipe and smoke it. |
|

Gypsy Gal

Of course we care but many of our s are dead and more are in harms way all this is a mess,,, |

I care, but I doubt the efficacy of the number cited. |

u mean the 655,000 dead iraqis that were killed by the ENEMIES, and not by U.S. troops, stop making it sound like we are at fault because in reality were helping the people over there |
|

El Supremo

Because it's not enough, and they won't fight for their own country, there still carrying out fueds from the 13th century. |

If we didnt care we would not be there..We are trying to prevent that number for doubling.......
Why don't you care????????? |

I care deeply about it. I really am embarrased by the blood thirsty Americans who have no compassion for those displaced and dead by this unethical war. There will always be those that champion violence over compassion, what I don't get it, is why it's all the religious people who are championing the violence...Christian conservatives and Islamic radicals. Makes me very sad for our future. |
|

holy_crap321

the same reason they dont care. how many of those dead Iraqis are/were human bombs. |
|

Brutus Maxius
 |
and how many Iraqis have Saddam Hussein and Al Queda killed? I'm sure its a larger number. I'm not saying that its a good thing but i am saying that is is a war and in wars you will have civilian casualties. and there wouldn't be as many civilian casualties if it weren't for the insurgents. so if your going to blame anyone blame them. |

Why should we? |

they killed our people we should kill theirs |

Half the population of America don't even care about the 3200 plus Americans killed. They want more. They want us to stay the course regardless if we have been led down the wrong road. The good news is more and more Americans are waking up to this every day and questioning our governments intent. |

Dead innocents in 'enemy' territory are termed collateral damage. An ugly term, to be sure. But it sounds better than dead innocents, and it allows people to sleep at night. Sad, huh? |

|
we've lost the reason of why we are there, to many the Iraqis have become the enemy because we're not doing anything about the REAL enemy. so when they see 665,000 Iraqi dead they are looking for the rest to be killed and then call it a won war. |
|

Cause I think they lack human compassion |
