ARMY QUESTION - How easy is it to be stationed at Ft Bragg if requested?

I will be joining as 13D Field Artillery and I will go to Airborne School after AIT. I know you get a wish list and all, but how easy is it to get into one of those 4 artillery battalions at Ft Bragg? I'll be qualified and everything.

I know it ends with the "needs of the Army", but how likely am I to be stationed at Bragg if I request it as Airborne 13D?

Yeah Brook you obviously didn't bother to read the question. I KNOW that. My question is how LIKELY am I to be stationed at Bragg.

50/50 depends on where you are at now they usally keep the west coast people on the west and visa versa due to cost but most of it depends on open spots which here lately there have been tons of incoming personel due to the fact the are expanding the base and we are expecting a HIGH number of new incoming personel so they are putting up alot of new barraks and new housing areas and expanding the whole base.
If you end up here at bragg I hope you enjoy it everyone that I know that is airborn and have gone airborne love it to death just watching them i went out just to go jump out of a plane.
But the whole base command and all is awsome they have plenty to do and alot of ways to expand your career.

It is very hard to say. It will depend if they need your MOS at that time if they have opening in the MTOE for your rank. Your best bet would be to call your branch manager during your AIT and see if there are openings.
