ARMY or AIR FORCE?
Find answers to your legal question.

ARMY or AIR FORCE?

I was just wondering what the diffrence is between being an officer in the Army or an officer in the AF
Additional Details
I am interested in the health care feild, some where along the lines of Physical Therapy, I am a Sophmore in college right now, I am 19, and I would like to finish college in an ROTC program. I know there is one here for the afrotc, but I heard that the AF is asking people to go to the Army

That depends on what you want to do. The basic leadership responsibilities in both branches are pretty much the same. However some of the career choices are different. To make a long story short it just depends on what career field you want to go into.

Air Force officers are kind of flighty... Army officers have their feet firmly planted on the ground...

If you are not planning to fly a plane there is no use being an officer in the Air Force.

I feel that being an officer in either one is a plus. I think a person should look at where they are best qualified and go for it.
I assume and hope that you are requesting for service in the United States armed forces.
Been there done that

Army is the most pilitical of the armed forces, besides anyone can join. The Air Force, only American citizens are allowed, as such, they get better benefits, food, quality of life, work with better equipment, have the best and most expensive equipment, and training for when you get out of the Air Force.
Overall, it is something that people don't talk too much about, but has better benefits specially when go get out, you are better qualified for employment.

An army officer dies on the battle thinking he or she had served gloriously without knowning the insidious hold of multinational corporations and military-industrial complex on the imperial expansion of US Armed Forces. Meanwhile, a Air Force officer sits behind a desk piloting unmaned Predator with Hellfire thining he or she is serving gloriously without knowing the insidious hold of multinational corporations and military-industrial complex on the imperial expansion of US Armed Forces, in more than 750 military bases around the world, not counting the ones in our territory.

No wonder every body hates us, and we just keep on wondering why.

first of all people dont know everything about the military. im in the army and i had talked to an airforce girl and she was telling me that airforce likes to lay off alot of people because their jobs dont stay to long. i would go with the army

Army: you drive tanks or fire with guns and stuff. you stay on the ground.

Air Force: you fly in a plane and send stuff down or bomb or whatever. you stay in the air and it may be easier to stay alive.

personally, i like air force. it seems cooler.

Yes, the air force is having issues with the amount of officers in their corps. They are asking specified amounts of officers to retire, due to repositioning of their forces. The military pays everyone in the same grade equal. Army does not make more than Air Force, they get paid based on their grade. If your looking into the medical field, it doesnt matter which you choose. If you go in with a degree, you can have the army bring you in as a captain because of the degree you hold. Im not sure how the air force does that, but im sure it is something similar. Both, army and air force are political, it comes with the territory, but you get used to it. Either way, the choice is your, don't let anyone talk you into a decision, its yours.

OK I just want to give you some ideas. You want to go in for health care. Ever think about nurse anesthetist.

It's a masters degree. The Army has a great program and school for this.

I know it not what you were asking about, but it's an excellent program for young people. Plus when you get out with all that experience you'll make as much money as some Dr's.

Just a thought. Contact me if you want more info.

Air Force! No, it really depends what you want to do. If you like the infantry or armor join the Army. If you want to fly jets or transports, join the Air Force. If you want to fly helicopters, join the Army (though the AF does have some). If you don't want to do any of those, then either service has many careers for officers. The Air Force has far more officers who don't fly than those who do, so its not all flying. Air Force bases are higher quality and family life in the Air Force is better. The Army deploys for one year at a time, and the Air Force has AEF rotations that send you away for 3 or 4 months at a time. Occansionally 6 or 12 months, but not as often.

So, if you aren't interested in Infantry, Armor, or Helicopters (3 most popular Army career fields for officers), then I would recommend the Air Force.

Both services have plenty of jobs in the medical field.

army officer die The chair force officer don't do anything

It depends on what you want to do. If you want to be a logistician or personnel specialist, there is not much difference. Same goes for attorneys, physicians, dentists etc.

If you want to be a helicopter pilot, the Army has a ton more helicopters than the Air Force. If you want to fly fighters or heavy transports, the Air Force is the way to go.

If you are interested in infantry, artillery or armor, go Army.

Army or Air Force, it would depend on your job description as to which one was preferable. Personally, I would choose Air Force.

There is no difference in pay among armed forces, although some may offer larger bonuses than others depending on supply/demand of human capital. The Army really needs healthcare professionals right now as there is a shortage. Being straight with you though, quality of life is much better in the AF. Better housing, more relaxed environment, and many other benefits to joining the AF. However, if you are wanting to serve your country, why not join where they need you the most, in the Army?

Air Force women officers get raped more often than Army. But the Army women enjoy it more. According to t he Pentagon the recruiters are haveing a field day with the female recruits all the time.

namsaev
Army officers are much more likely to get into combat. And it's much more likely for an Army officer to be killed (accidentally of course) by an Air Force officer then the other way around.
