Well, being biased, I gotta say Navy. The Navy I believe has better oppurtunities for advancement, better opputunities to get the job that fits you and as the old slogan went "Join the Navy, see the World." You will see the world, by going on deployments around the world (well, sometimes seeing just blue water lol) but you will not be stuck to one station all the time. You can "Choose your rate and Choose your Fate."
But I am biased. The Navy was extremely good to me. Just look at all options before making a decision. Take care.

This is to Ronnie j. - Wow, if you get seasick on a carrier, then the Navy definately is not for you, lol. |

It all depends on what you want to do. And where you are first stationed.
The Army life in Europe is so much different than state side.
Never being in the Navy, I couldn't tell you the pros and cons. And not knowing what you want to do, I can't tell you anything about it.
I loved the Army. Had a great time. Worked hard and played even harder. Meet great people, traveled. Learned great work ethics. Respect, team work, gave me the opportunity to mature. the list goes on. |

First of all.. you will have to do your research and make this decision! One person that thinks the army is elite will say "ARMY" and the next will say no no no... Go Navy!
What are you looking to get out of signing up for the armed forces? What kind of job do want inside of the army or navy?
Where do you want to be stationed, etc.. you have ALOT of decisions to make before you can pick one. Contact your local recruiters office and ask questions, search the internet for answers.. etc. |

Neither! Coast Guard. You wil be stationed somewhere around the US and not in the Persian Gulph. |

In the Navy to get a good job you have to have a high ABSVAB score. Same with the Army. Both are hard but it depends on how hard you are willing to work for what you want. Go to the recriters and see what the best for you. Join for you no one else. I went and joined the Navy because I didn't want to go to Iraqi . |

And what's wrong with the Marines????
BUT to answer,,,, the Navy is a bit easier.
A great job is working the flight deck on a carrier.
This is based on your not getting seasick. |

Navy, the best education possible, best opportunities to advance ... etc.
I enlisted and was in Basic Training 5 days after my 17th Birthday, could troubleshoot an Electronic Missile launcher to component level by 18 and had made it around the world by 19! |

you cant really get a real answer because youre gonna have all the different branches saying that theirs is the best.. like if i was to do that im gonna go and say ARMY ALL THE WAY! but what it comes down to is you and what you want to do, the navy has things that the army doesnt offer and the army has things that the navy doesnt offer so what you need to do is do research and figure out what fits you better.. what i can tell you is that in the army you will see a lot more than you will in the navy.. and plus if you want to fly you can do that in the army, airbourne, air assault, ranger school, sf, and a whole bunch of other things that you can get guarenteed in your contract.. not to mention all bonuses and all that stuff you can get..
just take a look at each branch, talk to both recruiters and see whats better for you thats the best answer i can give, you dont want to join any branch because thats what other people told you to do ya know?
I WOULD SUGGEST YOU STAY AWAY FROM THE MARINES BECAUSE THEY ARENT VERY BRIGHT JUST LOOK AT "JH" I THINK THE WORD HE MEANT TO USE WAS "OUR" NOT "ARE".. if want to see some badass guys look up the sentinels or sf or delta force...
and inform miss "bobbi" up there that ther are navy in iraq too.. or better yet they are having stand offs with iran. dont join or not join any branch out of fear |

army is the best and strongest. air force treats soldiers the best. navy only deploys for a few months at a time. and marines are worthless all the way around thats why they get the army hand-me-downs |

I think it all depends on where your long-term interests lie |

I heard people from the Navy loved it. I don't know much about it, but I also heard you get treated a little better in the Navy too. |

I did the ARMY and if I could do it all over again I'd do the air force the education is a lot better in my opinion. My little bro is in the air force and it's great. It depends on what kind of a job you want to do in the military. |

Navy is probally your best choice because the life is better and because there is less of a chance of you getting killed by a car bomb! |

Since your joining the Service and it may cost your your life.
You have to consider: Would you rather die in a foxhole or the
cold water as sea.
I chose the Navy, because they had better schools, & serving
my country does comes first. You have to figure what you are
going to do later, if you make it through. So take your pick,
and serve with pride. *****====== |
