ASVAB Question... Recruiters Needed!?

If you take the ASVAB and qualify and you have not signed any type of paperwork on a contract... can you re-take the ASVAB if you didn't make a real high score?

I was told that I cannot re-take the ASVAB again and the only job that is popping up for me is 92G (cook).... they said it's going to get harder and harder for me to get into the Army because so many people are joining bc of the economy. And eventually they will stop taking GED holders all together. Please give me some insight!

After 30 days you can retake the ASVAB.

"There is no limit to the number of times an applicant can take the ASVAB, assuming he/she meets the age requirements."

You can retake it, but if you score lower, that will be your score. I would go see a recruiter just to see what jobs you can get with your current score. If you don't like any, ask to see other jobs and what score you need.

I think you can only retake it every 24 months if you passed unless there was some reason that you did badly.

Your recruiter can tell you, but most jobs have a low qualifying score anyway so don't worry if you didn't get a 90 or something really high.

Yes maam, the wait time is either 30 or 31 days after you have taken the test. But keep in mind if you do crappy on the 2nd one, that score will still override the 1st test you took. Good luck.

If you had a barely passing score I would not retest you. Because next time your score could drop below the qualifying mark. Yes your recruiter is right. GED slots are mostly given to the Army and now with the economy in such bad shape the standards will go up and they will stop taking GED applicants all together.
