ASVAB result... HELP!!?

I've taken the asvab test and i got 50 i'm trying to join the navy but i do not know what jobs i qualify for. I was told that i can re-take it but one of my friends told me that if i retake it's going to be a really hard test. Does anybody know if this is true? My recruiter told me that i can retake next month but i do not know if i should since i got a 50 i don't know what i can qualify for.

A 50 on the ASVAB is like getting a C- on a test. You barely passed the exam. I would suggest you get books and study for it or speak to your recruiter about getting a tutor. I say this because the composite score taken from your ASVAB test will show which MOSs you qualify for. The higher the score, the more choices you will have. Good luck.

you are most likely going to score the same +/- a few points, so if you dont think you will score higher, then dont do it

It won't be a more difficult test, but unless you study for it, you probably wont do a whole lot better.

Did you score really high in one area? Sometimes if your score is high enough in one area, it doesn't matter if it was low overall.

My general advice is to study up and retake it.
