If we torture people then we loose the moral right to complain when our enemies torture our service personnel.
One of the reasons that makes America so great is that we don't stand for torture, rape (remember our female military members) or arbitrary executions.
I don't believe this would stop many of our adversaries from using torture. But I do believe that as long as we maintain the moral high ground the rest of the world might complain & whine about American Superiority. But when they look at the alternatives (i.e. governments like the taliban, iran, north korea, even communist china) they recognize the "good guy" whether they will admit it or not.
Finally where does it end? If we are willing to torture some guy with a 5th grade education because he bought into a lie (Islamic Extremism). How far are we from torturing an a American citizen for say...............the color of their skin or their religious beliefs? |

Do you know how much proof is out there that our gov arranged this? Did you know the CIA trained these people? Do you even know who the real TERRORIST are in this situation.Let the CIA do its job.. Let them call out habus corpus, let the patriot act rob me of my rights? DONT THINK SO. Most the people being tourcherd are not even "terrorist". I like my country.. However I dont like the corperation behind it right now.
