After my 4 years of active duty, I will be in the reserves for another 4 years. During that time, do I qualify for tricare health coverage?

While in the reserves you qualify for tricare reserve select - you have to pay the premiums and there is a higher deductible but from what I understand it's pretty decent compared to other insurance plans. |

Unless you are Active Reserves you are considered IRR in which you have no base priveledges, no Tricare, etc.... So therefore you will have to find your own insurance. If you are Active Reserves in which you are drilling once a month, 2 weeks a year, etc.. then you can get the Tricare Reservist Coverage which varies depending on how many in your family.

You can purchase tricare if your in the Reserves.
That will pretty much take your reserve pay check though.
Reserves or guard do not provide health benefits unless your unit is activated. |
