what is mct like? is it easier than bootcamp? is it less stressfull? do u still sleep in those long houses? i hear u get like a room with a rooommate idk if its true, whats it like! just curious i just graduate from bootcamp last week and going to mct next week

SOI east and west are different. East coast is no **** 3 weeks of field week. West, its a class, run up this mountain for prac app, another class then run up that mountain for prac app, big hike up a mountain once a week, come back to the squad bay every night except for weapons week, and weekend liberty. |

i didnt go to MCT..i went to ITB because I went infantry..but you will be living in a squad bay in MCT as well...don't know what your MOS is gonna be like..but bootcamp is a joke compared to your future boot life in the fleet..good luck with that.. |

MCT is like field week in boot camp. It's really not bad or stressful, it is tiring. You won't sleep a whole lot, but it's really not bad at all. You'll live in a squad bay like boot camp, but probably won't be there much. When you get to your mos school your live in a dorm type room, but not MCT. MCT is really just an introductory course to infantry tactics. It's not meant to be hard, just to familiarize you with weapons us grunts use so your not lost with your head up your *** when you come with us. Don't' sweat MCT, it's a joke. |
