You know it's amazing... all the dems talked about before the election was a "new direction". Well all I see is the same old crap, now it's just going the dems direction. Everyone got what they deserve, put in the dems, get a new direction. Well just as before the election they never articulated any ideas for going forward, we now know why....They didn't have any. |

MIKA...how many people in this post didn't even know what you meant by pork barrel?
Did you all know they slipped about 20 billion dollars worth of special project funding in this bill, hoping Bush would approve it because it was tied to the war funding?
The bill includes money for the war BUT $20 Billion for domestic items (the sneaky pork stuff that has nothing to do with the WAR...why is it in the same bill?)
It includes such expenditures as $1.3 billion to build levees in New Orleans (maybe valid but not needed in this bill), $500 million for wildfire suppression, $250 million for milk subsidies (what?) $120 million for shrimp and menhaden fishermen, $75 million for peanut storage in Georgia (for peanut storage????) and $25 million for spinach farmers in California.
Al Queda is still more dangerous, but ALL our politicians are right up there with them. They are selling this country down the drain for money and/or special interest groups. |

Take your pick.
Vote the crooks out.
We get what we vote for. |

Well Al Queda was supporting the democrats, so if you voted for democrats you voted with Al Queda. |

The Socialis...oops, I mean the Democrat Party |

The Demoncrats led by the Wicked Witch of the North, Pelosi.
Hands down. |

The Dems have attacke America again.....Terrorists have been vacant since the war.....your choice..Both can and will destroy us if given the chance
Substandard equipment and pieced together jeeps??
We havent used jeeps in over 15 years...These soldiers today have top notch gear...I had a Steel Helmet and my Jungle Jacket..my boots had a pungi plate none of which did a thing to stop a bullet.
Of course the gear could always be improved |

I believe the Democraps (very nice) are more dangerous to us. Why not just have a bill concerning just the war instead of peanuts, spinach, and all the other crap thrown into that bill.
I want to see something just about this war not all this other crap. I don't want my husbands life being compared to peanuts. |

the democraps (i like that) if they were in office during 9/11 nothing would have been done like clinton did nothing when the trade caenters were bomded before, the democraps want nothing more than control and power in this country and they do nothing for the people of america unless your gay or want to abort a innocent baby |

Democrats are far more dangerous than Al Queda? |

Perhaps some people would like the money to be spent in the USA. How about rebuilding New Orleans for example. It is a disgrace for the richest country in the world. |

Al Queda is only dangerous to America because of the latter's foreign policies and interventionism, such as "Operation Ajax" in 1953 and other manipulations leading to the present, with the emphasis on unquestioning support of Israel. Since those policies have been maintained in force by members of both halves of the Republicratic party, both are more dangerous than al Queda because the latter is a response and a symptom, while the former is the cause and the problem. However, most of those foreign policies and actions were put in effect by Republican politicians and administrations, which would weight the dangers more heavily in that direction.
Then, of course, there's the current administration which has not only continued but actually expanded the 'business as usual' of meddling in the affairs of others and causing terrorism as a result. |

both groups are equal in their threat to this nation. |

You're probably more dangerous than both of them........good luck! |

Let's see, Republica congress and republican president during the first 4 years of war with no real progress, the dems take over and suddenly Bush and Maliki get very motivated. I think i like the demo"craps" just fine with these results. |

I love how you Bush lovers twist things. How long should we stay in Iraq with no exit strategy? No plan of action? Demo'craps' didn't send our troops over there with substandard safety gear and pieced together jeeps. Truth being...NONE of our politicians are worth their salt. You can argue dems vs repubs vs liberals all day. The scariest thing is that these spoiled little rich kids are making life and death decisions that affect all of us, yet they don't have a freakin clue. I started out as a Bush supporter back in 2000. I made a mistake. I didn't make it twice. |

The most dangerous to America is the president who sends our future citizens to die in a country we now admittedly attacked for no reason. |

The brainwashed Republicans still pose the greatest threat to this country. |

to me it currently seems to be the president. who will allow soldiers to die every day just to try and save face. |
