I just wanted to ask me and my older brother are both paramedics and nationaly registered and we are both looking into the air force either the sere school instructor or para rescue school we have seen the physical test and we can both do it now we wanted to know both if there is a way they would send us through the whole process toghther because i mean who does not want there brother there for moral support and added competition and on top of that if we would have to re do the paramedic portion of the training

ohh ya dont get us wrong we know how tough it is we come from a military back round all the males in our family have spent time in the service our dad was a marine scout sniper and our grandfather was a green beret so we know exactly what we are asking for but confidence is key to success

1. You could go through the school together.
2.) Yes, you would have to do the Paramedic part or test out - because remember, can you do it the Air Force WAY, in the field and under fire??? That would be the overall concern for me as an instructor.
I think you would have to be in the field for a few years before going back to the PJ school as an instructor.
I went through SERE school 25 years ago, I wouldn't be surprised if you had to wait on that as well.

You could go in together, but you would still have to do the medical training again.
also, Its not as easy as it seems.
this is one if not the most highest fail rate training in the military. about 80-90+% usually fail training.
but good luck. its a great field. |
