Air Force ROTC or A recruiter. I want to serve but I want to get college paid.?

You'll need to talk to a recruiter if you want to get into your school's ROTC program anyways. So it doesnt really matter.

If you're serious about your education as a #1 priority, I'd be very very cautious about going into the service first as an enlisted person and having the service tell you they'll pay for your education.

The GI BIll is a great way to pay for school, don't get me wrong. But chances are, if you're enlisted that education will come AFTER you've completed your service obligation, and by that time you may have a family, need to work, etc.

dont go in the national guard. my state has stopped college first. no money for college.

Do ROTC, they pay for your college and you have the benefit of starting off as an Officer right away as opposed to starting as a Private through regular recruitment.

The military pays for your college while you are in the service as well as giving you money for school when you get out ou have 10 years to use the money you are given when you leave whatever branch you are going into at least thats the way it is with the army

The G.I. bill helps you pay for college. But you still have to commit money it to benefit.

Okay first off, you need to go to a recruiter and see your options. Along with being enlisted you have tuition assistance (T.A.), i have been in a little over 6 yrs and am now working on my Masters. I have paid only for some books out of pocket never paid for any classes, but T.A.only covers so many semester hours a class. Also after 3 years you can start using your G.I bill if you want to take more classes. If you go ROTC it's like a military school with your weekends off to a point, and all school is paid but you have to give them 4 yrs in the service as payment. And you start out as an 0-1, unless you go in as a nurse or P.A. then you start as an 0-3. Good luck!!

It really depends on if you want to be an officer or not. If you go into ROTC in college you will get out of college and go in as an officer. if you go in to the airfoce out of high school you will go in as enlisted however you can still take college classes and the air force will pay for it all as long as you pass all of your classes. so it is really up to what level so you want to go in as ..officer or enlisted.
