Air Force intelligence jobs near Washington, DC?

Hi friends,
I'm requesting information about intelligence jobs, college education, and the possibility of the love of my life being stationed near Washington, DC. I'm an Army Officer, but I don't know anything about the AF other than websites.
Please help me understand how it works in the AF. Is a college degree possible for someone with about 40 college credits? How does it work with getting your preferred duty station? Any information about intelligence jobs?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Appreciate the advice, but I met her when she was a civilian way before she even considered enlisting. That is not fraternization and makes me exempt from the rule. Good advice about marrying her, that is the goal one day :).

A college degree is always possible, but she needs another 80 credits or so.
Preferred duty stations work about the same in any branch. You request what you want, but the needs of the military rule. You don't even know if there would be an opening then or not.
Is she in the military now working toward a degree, or is she just in school? If yall want to be together, the best choice is for her to go to college in Washington D.C and just date. And have her not enter the military, and def not a different branch.
Even if yall waited, by the time she gets her degree (another 3 years from now?) you would be in a different location. |

I'm trying for AF Intelligence jobs right now and even with 99's across the board on my ASVAB its going to be about a year's wait unless I take something else. Its not something they really need right now. Why intelligence specifically? Plus if she enlists and isn't an officer, that's fraternization and you're in trouble. Just marry the girl.
Unless you somehow manage to get stationed at the Pentagon (doubtful, my dad's in Intel and 90% of his coworkers are civvies) you won't be posted anywhere near VA. Preferred duty stations work the same way they do in the Army, pick your preferences and they'll try and put you there if they need you. |
