My Dad was in the Navy and always told me that the Air Force "is for smart people". You decide. |

Navy and Air Force have a lot of computer related technical fields. Look up both, or talk to a recruiter about the jobs that you can acquire in each branch. |

The Navy takes care of its Sailors. When you join, you will receive an impressive array of benefits designed to keep you healthy, comfortable and secure. And the best part is that all of these benefits are above and beyond your Navy pay and allowances.
Hey my dad was in the Navy. Here's a site you can go to for some info =]

The Navy often requires long stints on a ship at sea. If that sounds cool to you than go for it. Otherwise, the Air Force is a good bet and you will still have the opportunity to see the world. |

Navy all the way.
Look into Navy ratings IT, ET, FC or IC. All jobs that have to do with computers.
Look them up on www.navy.com |

My partner is Air Force and he's in intelligence now - working with computers etc. Lots of opportunities there. |

Definitely Air Force. Its the best branch if you want a great career. You still work hard but its not as tough as the Navy. I'm a military brat...I'm 28. I was going in to the Air Force but decided to start a family. I hope you enjoy which ever branch you choose. |

I served in the Air Force, so I have a biased opinion, but honestly, either branch offers plentiful opportunities in the computer and electronics fields. |

ROTC requirements are different than active duty requirements. The Navy provides an extremely loose requirement for the training activity and they will mainly schedule it on weekends for persons enrolled in college. Your best bet is to ask a recruiter where your requirement will fit your desire. But they don't let you off the hook completely. Remember, we are at war right now, and you will doubtlessly need to complete an active duty for your benefit. |

For computers, the Air Force is tops! |

The air force ,dealing with more technology , is a good choice for computers , yet , the navy also is very high tech.
Talk to a recruiter...they could help. |

If you join make sure and get it in writing as to what you are going to be doing. I spent four years in the Air Force thirty years ago and if I had to pick again it would still be the Air Force. |

The US Coast guard. It is a lot smaller and you get better training and you get to work with DEA and Customs people I was also able to make rank faster and I got a couple degrees whail I was in.

DONT JOIN THE NAVY. Join the Airforce and dodge any naval recruiters as they have no problem lying to you about your chances of success in the airforce. I repeat - DO NOT JOIN THE NAVY. Your probability of ending up on some ship performing menial chores is very high as recruiting numbers are pretty low right now. No one wants to be in the military until GW is out of office. They'll promise you anything just to get you to sign. If at all possible try to wait until after next years elections cause that psycopath we have in office is hell bent on starting a war with Iran despite the intelligence reports that Iran stopped thier nuclear ambitions in 2003. He claims he knows nothing about it and "is not backing down regarding Iran" Dont we have enough dead americans and dead (innocent) iraqis already? The Iraqis, nor Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11, had no weapons of mass destruction etc.
If you want a career along those lines then i would strongly recommend the AirForce because they are charged with the responsibility of guarding our skies and that takes a grid of computers and satellites and people to process alot of data. And your chances of cleaning toilets out on some ship in the strait of hormuz is almost nill. |

um the chair force is kinda week. and the navy is ok but you still have all those squids.
If you want my opinion i would say go Army ROTC mostly because thats what im in. You can do a lot of stuff with computers in the Army. You've got military intelligence and a ton of other things.
Idk if you have your heart set on the AF or Navy but i really really wanted to do Marine ROTC but when it came down to the long run the Army is the best choice i ever made. |

It depends.
The Navy works more with Navy SEALs and are covert operators.
The Airforce is MUCH bigger and deals with more aerial military stuff. Their technology is very advanced too. The air force is for you.
Unless you want to be an elite fighter :) |
