Im joining the Army but want a good combat job that stands out and allows me to kill!!!!!!!terrorist!!!
I got a 43 on my asvab test for the regular active duty army and all I have to do is pick an mos by friday.what is the best for combat!

You don't have to worry, you're going to Afghanistan no matter what MOS you pick. |

If you want to physically pick up a gun and shoot people there is nothing better than infantry but if you wanted to work with artillery and mortars that still kill but.... |

I was a combat engineer (21B) for a few years. Hunt some IEDs and it's a bit easier figuring out the bad guys (at least compared to Infantry), also, you're much more likely to be an anti-mine vehicle(much better than a humvee), but still in combat. Probably the most well rounded in terms of protection-action, that you'd find in an army combat job. |

Infantry would be the best, then cavalry scout, then probably cannon crews.
but infantry would be the surest way.
but pretty much all jobs will get you there.
But you probably wont be fighting terrorist as an Army Plumber.
so your best bet would be infantry or cav scout. |

Infantry and Cav are generally the ones to have battle space. Tankers won't see Afghanistan. Cav's basically the same old, same old as infantry, but they don't get shiny CIBs when they get engaged.
PS. Get airborne in your contract if you think you can do it. Do you want someone watching your back who isn't a part of the most elite conventional army units?
