ur saying GIs' will be used as a police force? theyre already testing that in various places and working cooperatively with local police in some areas .... yep, all it will take is one more good building blowing up ... or worse ... before you know it theres roadblocks and house to house searches .... and people will still probably support it because its making them "safe" ... i bet half or more of the people on this board dont even know its illegal to use military for civilian police duties. ... thats the problem i think ... nobody even cares anymore ... they yell "freedom!" and "im a true american patriot" ... but have no idea what it even means or what this country originally stood for ... they would rather soak up some lies on the tv and blame everything on some boogyman terrorists than face the fact that their own govt considers THEM as the problem.

Yes our soldiers in Iraq will soon come home in groups. Iraqi government is taking more control daily.
The Afghanistan soldiers will be home soon, as the UN has taken command. Troop deployments usually end soon there after.

With so many Forts and Camps scattered thoughout the US, its kinda hard for soldiers to keep off the streets. Would you have them used teleporters or something to get to the Circle K for a gallon of milk?

The vast majority of American soldiers are in their countries of origin. In America it is only the United Statesian soldiers that are far from home. Remember that America is a continent with 34 nations in it.
