Americans, do you think the US war in Iraq has angered other countries?

Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, the organization constitutes a system of collective defense whereby its member states agree to mutual defense in response to an attack by any external party. This involves United States, Canada, Portugal, Italy, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Greece , W. Germany, Turkey, (total of 26 countries), etc.

The Parties of NATO agreed that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all.

The war with Iraq was vetoed by NATO but we went ahead anyway???? hmmm...wonder why they r so mad......

A rise in hate and terrorist recruitment has been going up. Now they are spread through countries we can't afford to invade, most of which who are building military stock. Maybe the terrorists and the Middle East are indeed winning, because we're stuck in Iraq, and there is a whole lot more Middle East than Iraq. I think Iraq may just possibly be a target dummy America took as a threat.

Now we blame recruitment on Iran, intelligence is even proving Iran is a bigger threat to the US. What have we done so far to Iran? Nothing.

So much for the belief of pre emptive strikes.

When the British (I'm british) went to war in Iraq or somewhere in the Middle-East ,The french Spray-painted over English war graves 'Get out Rosbifs'. That basically means ,Get out of Iraq ,England.

Are you kidding me? Why wouldn't it? Unjustified aggression, imperialization, going to another country to steal its natural resources and subjugate its people and pretend it's for noble reasons? I can't imagine why that would upset anybody.

because we just went in there without just reason.
and look at the results we are reaping now.
yes, Bush had beliefs, but I dont believe those were just reasons.
and many people from other countries have lost respect for America and it people.
plus there has always been the stereotype of 'people in the west'

We feel sorry for the US to have a president taking such poor choices. We feel sorry for the lack of transparceny in the US administration.

The rest of the world is gleeful when they find something to critise the US about. It really doesn't matter what we do according to the rest of the world we would be doing it wrong. Therefore, I'm no longer worried whether they hate us or not.

Maybe, but I am not sure why. Most of the nations are in the UN. Iraq ignored several UN resolutions, and triggered the war. These other countries should be mad at Saddam and Iraq for causing the war.

It certainly has ! Iran, Syria, the Palestinian authority, Russia, China, N. Korea, Venezuela, Bolivia, Cuba, Nicaragua, Pakistan, and a few more of the nations that regularly take an anti-American stand, whenever possible !

im sure PLENTY of countries dislike us not just for our involvement in the middle east but for our beliefs(democracy etc.) but im pretty sure they'll want our help if they have a hurricane or a earthquake or a national emergency

They were angry at us before. What is the difference? If they were not angry about Iraq, they would be angry about Afganistan, if not Afganistan it would be about oil, global warming, even Hollywood....

Iraq is just the current focus. Terrorists and dictators mouthed off and attacked our interests long before Iraq or even 9-11.

Of course but not as bad in some counties than others , my opinion is that even if foreigners hate the war in Iraq they still respect us for the massive firepower we have, You may hate us but you have to respect America
