I'm more worried about China. They have the potential to be far more voracious with natural resources than we are, they are buying up our debt as fast as we can foolishly build it up and they are rapidly expanding their navy. Projecting power via a navy to protect foreign sources and effecting policy through holding foreign debt has been our gig for over 100 years. Becoming dependent on their manufacturing and letting them hold our debt is not good. |

I think Putin is having a few problems at home and he has read Machiavelli. |

I don't think so because Russia would need a lot of money to do that and it's moving closer towards a Tsarist regime. |

we ain't got no problems with russia
our only threat is with Iran
Russia does have more nukes because democrats are ******* and are afraid to allow more to be built
We just need another Reagan
We can't just talk to them, we need to talk to them with 50,000 missiles pointed at them |

Currently they do not possess the financial infrastructure to do that. It would not be advisable for us as well, due to how our military is stretched thin. Although, there is a grassroots movement in Russia to return to the old ways. It is among the youth of Russia. |

No. Russian politicians can always help their vote by looking strong to the world. They aint stressin, we aint stressin, and the "good ole cold war" days seemed to pacify the populations better than the modern enemy. We need an enemy who really doesnt wanna blow us up, just bicker. Welcome back, Ivan, we missed ya. |

yes i think we are sadly headed towards another cold war with russia. i think with terrorism growing that this is the last thing we need. but russia is developing more nukes and also non-nuclear bombs (i forget the exact name) that are supposedly just as bad as a small sized nuke just without the radiation. i also heard word of mouth today that russia's parliament has been dissolved, though i dont know how true this actually is. but if it is true then that proves that russia is still basically just a communism like it always was. |
