Find answers to your legal question.

Anti war = anti troop?????

Additional Details
i believe anti- iraq war is very pro troop. BRING OUR BOYS HOME!!!

Eric
no. wanting to bring troops home from a impossible situation is pro troops. now if you against all wars in general.....I'd be unemployed.

KERMIT M
Nope. The troops don't choose the conflicts or make the policies...we the People have that responsibility and we need to belly up to the bar and make it right.

Joshua B
Nah - not at all.

Yes, being against the war is also against the troops. The war is what the troops are doing, by not supporting the war, you are not supporting what they are doing. If you aren't supporting what they are doing, then what are you supporting?

You can use that logic for other professions.

anti law-enforcement = anti police?????

By not supporting the enforcement of the law, you are not supporting the police. In fact, in that case you might be breaking the law and actively hindering the job of the police...

Makes sense that not supporting the troops actively hinders the performance of their job doesn't it?

You can also think of it this way. Say are are a doctor, lawyer, whatever and your parents don't support the work you do. How would that make you feel? Estranged? Annoyed? Disconnected? Think about it.

Absolutely not. I am a Gulf War Vet, but I am against the war in Iraq, always have been. It was irresponsible and unjust. Supporting the troops is not only cheering for them and waving the flag, it is also holding their lives as valuable to the extent that they are not put in harms way frivolously. The war waged against these terrorist as the current administration has presented it has been a lie. AL-Qaeda was not in Iraq, however they are now. Which present a different problem. Alhtough the justification for going into Iraq was a lie, we are there, and now AL-Qaeda is. Personally I don't think any of the candidates have presented a viable solution to the problem. We can't stay indefinitely, there has to be a goal, objective or timetable or there is nothing to benchmark yourself against and set goals. At work, everyone has daily, weekly , monthly objectives, its the only way things get accomplished same thing. We can't however just bail. That would only leave a festering and boiling hot spot breading ground for terrorists, that we leave to our children. Bush sent in half the troops recommended by experts and generals and then failed to arm and protect them with armor when he sent them into battle. So I think opposing the war doesn not mean you appose the troops, blindly following someone who has shown a lack of apptitude and ability to lead responsibly and effectively is NOT supporting the troops, it is doing them a great diservice.

Absolutely NOT! That's the propoganda that this administration has to pump out to TRY and make itself look good. How else would they get support?

so what your saying is you think it is incouraging and supporting to the troops to hear fellow americans say "the wars lost" "we should bring the troops home"....i cant even begin to tell you how incredibly niave that is....

Cinner
No, no, no, you have it wrong. If this were true that would mean that our Service members would be pleased to hear Murtha, Pelosi, Reid et al. out there saying we've already lost the war so they should come home. I strongly doubt they feel that way. I think our troops (a majority of them)think they ARE winning the peace and would get there alot faster if they had strong support from back home on both sides of the aisle and if they knew that America was going to take care of their needs as we should!

My husband is deployed over in Iraq for the 4th time. Sure I would love to see him home. In fact we have been apart these past 6 years more than together. But all of them believe that they have a job to do and it is very disheartening to constantly hear of the non-support they are receiving from the States. Whether you believe in why they are there or not, at least support them especially with the extensions that most where just handed at this point in time of the government's strategy. THEY ALL need our support to include their families waiting for their safe return.

How is wanting to bring them home or trying to give them all the funding they need trying to get them killed? Some people need to think before they speak, or better yet, not speak at all.

Put it this way, if you want to bring back the troops then your going to see many attacks like what we saw on 9/11.

I say enough already with the ridiculous sterotype that all liberals hate soldiers and want them to die. It's just stupid. Really. Do you republicans realize that?

Yes. How can you support military personal when your actions are getting them killed. That's like saying you love your car but continue to throw rocks at it and whine about how much gas it uses.

Yes!!!!! If you say you support the troops, then you want them to win.....if you want the US to cut and run like cowards, then you are not for the troops or for America.
