Any Pararescue Jumpers out there or those who have insight on their training?

I am very interested in becoming a PJ (avatar is joke btw). Could you guys shed some light on the best ways to accomplish this goal / give me tips on training before basic. Any information helps. Thanks.
PS: I will be shipping off in October. I run 18+ miles a week and will continue to increase that number. 83 Pushups in two minutes (ya I know that's terrible I'm working on it). 110 Situps in two minutes. Only 11 pullups as of now. I've been swimming since I was 4 and will train in water come end of April (I'm an avid water skiier). Again, thanks guys.

It is the only site you will find 100% acccurate information about Pararescue. Quite a few PJs post on the forums and will answer questions that haven't been asked before.
Read through the site and join the forums .. there is a lot of great advice concerning work out plans, diet plans, and ways to prepare for indoc in general. You'll find everything you need there.
FYI, Pararescuemen is the correct term .. PJ is simply a nickname that doesn't stand for anything anymore. |

sounds like you're doing the right things. just do more of them. from what I understand, PJ's are like, the baddest thing evuh! they train with SEALS for part of their training. good luck to you. hope we never have to meet. ;) |
