I wonder how the British and US intelligence let these things happen or get close to happening...with all the monitoring of credit cards and passports done these days surely these plots can be foiled well before they happen and the public need not be put into mass panic..makes you wonder how Mr Blair is keeping so calm on his Yacht...also what kind of issues and laws is he planning to propose in september when parliament opens????

It is certainly NOT propeganda as the limp wristed liberals scream and the Muslim leaders would have you believe. They know there are trained assasins in their ranks and although they publically condemn suicide bombers they do little to disuade them. It is only a matter of time before the Extremist Muslims strike again. It is what they do, it is how they are programmed... The so called "innocent" people who were released or killed in error were most probably part of a larger plot. remember, we all know people who do things wrong but proving it with enough "evidence" is very difficult indeed especially when resources are limited and the threat so large. Also, to those who think it is easy to monitor people like "big brother" need to step into the real world. It would take thousands upon thousands of investigators to keep an eye on everyone who is suspect and with billions of credit card transactions every week it would be a logistical nightmare to keep track of people. The only people that can be watched are the known terrorists who are the preachers of hate and not the suicide bombers themselves. We only know about the suicide bombers after the event or if a plot is foiled just before the event.

So, to answer your question... it is a very real threat. Those who disagree have got their head in the sand or know little of what is going on in the world today.....

I think they should STOP airport inspections and speed things up. There is plenty of time to check every passenger after the aircraft is in the air. Maybe after drinks are served and everyone is relaxed.

Lol propaganda is happening all the time. The Islamic terrorist is quite clever in its use. They have been doing it for years and will quite happily endanger and kill innocents to maximise its benefits.
Also the burden of proof that British law enforcement agencies have to provide means that terrorists have to be caught preparing and or carrying out their plans. You can't just arrest someone for having a plan.

I have seen the burning rubble of the twin towers and smelled the bodies personally. I was on a tube train in London when the one behind me blew up. I have watched TV pictures of a bar and a restaurant in Bali where I have been sitting with my lovely daughters having a beer only weeks before, blow up because of a suicide bomber.

I fly from London to New York and back every month, and sometimes my entire family gets on an American Airline and flys over to see me.

Therefore I feel kind of involved as a target in all this.

My view is no...its not propaganda. These lunatics are killing people again and again and I have no reason to believe that this was anything other than a lucky escape for 3000 people.

Very good question, when a second lot were caught trying to mimic 7/7 they were quick to show us all the bombs and stuff they discovered, but where is the evidence this time round?

1 theory is that the people in Britain invading airports could only get done with trespass! so now up the ante and if they do it now they can face a long remand as a terrorist! I think this is very plausible!
