Anyone Former Armed Forces Here?

Recently im been thinking about what I what to do when i finsh my Education, im 15 btw. Expect from my music band theres nothing else expect the armed forces that I can really see myself being happy with as a carrear.

So I was looking for some advice as to what it's like from people who have actually been there or know people that have.

Atm I thinking of joing the RAF or Army.
Additional Details
Also other possible things I was thinking about the Fire Stations Units and Armed Police.

i had the same idea wen i was your age just about to turn 16 and i decided join rm . in many ways it was the best time of my life and its made who i am today but you really gotta think this through its a life commitment this isn't just playing soldiers or like watching a movie this stuffs real add up ya pros and cons .

you could have a good career in the RAF. a little advice - concentrate on your spelling and grammar, it would help.

at the mo i go army cadets so you could join that you air cadets to get a taster
i really enjoy cadets and it is something differnt also if you joined cadets then you would make life easyier for yourself if you wanted to go in the army or RAF because youu would of learnt things that you learn in the army

I was in the Army for ten years. Did two tours in Iraq. I was a combat engineer. Pros of the military....get to travel, decent pay, money for college, good retirement if you do 20 years. Cons...war, never home, over 50% divorce rate....
