This war is not about "democracy" for the Iraqi people......or freedom for the Iraqi people.......nor about a civil war......nor oil......nor any of the other reasons on the long list of liberals....

Initially we went into Iraq as part of the Global War On Terrorism
(GWOT) .....a strike against terrorism and the nations that support it.... WE stayed because we created a "vacuum" by removing Saddam......a power vacuum that has to be filled by our allies NOT our enemies..... If Iran and the Shiites are allowed to take over Iraq there will be an even bigger war......an Armageddon that will involve Israel and eventually America......costing us NOT thousands of American lives but millions of lives

In addition a "cut and run" policy will embolden the world terrorist community and make our innocent civilians around the world number one on the terrorist hit list once again......in case you have not noticed...... since we "punished" the world's leading terrorist nation......there has not been ONE innocent American civilian victim of terrorism in 7 years......we used to average one attack each month..... you also notice that "old" enemy nations like Libya and Syria are now holding their nose and cooperating with us

Even though I dont agree with you I like the way you ask this question. But we cant just leave it would be more of a dissator then what is is now hine sight is 20/20 but we should have had more people over there from the get go but we shouldnt leave untill they can take care of these problems them selves.

Now yer talkin. Let those ragheads kill each other. We don't care about democracy. If they want dictatorship, more power to them cause we all know dictators come to power from the will of the people. Besides, the Baathists only killed their own kind. Its none of our business. I'm tired of helping the world. I know they'd just leave us alone if we left. I would love to agree with you, I want our troops home & out of harms way, but Iraq did nothing to us, we went into their country on a lie told to us by our government, we have destroyed their country, killed their people & in general made a mess of things! Should we now just up & leave them to clean up the mess we started or do we need to stay & help them recover from the horror we created for them. For me it's a quandary & I really don't see how we can just walk away, although I sure as heck would love to see us able to do so. Also, if we just walk away now, what will the rest of the world think of us, their opinion of us isn't too high already, would anyone in the world ever trust us again!

The problem with leaving Iraq is that it will not stay the way it is now. Civil war will probably break out. And neighboring countries will get involved. And the effect of it all on the US and the rest of the world will be $200 per barrel oil and $6 or $7 per gallon gasoline.

Support Our Troops

I care. I am Proud of our American soldiers and all of the hard work and efforts that our troops put forth into finishing the job. I know the climate is hot and temps get 110 But in the long run america is proud of you that are serving , have served and will continue to served as well as those who have served in the past.
We as American adults can not teach our youth to start something and not finish it.
As a ordained Rev. I will say this to our Christian Americans who do not blieve in war.
