Anyone else sick of hearing about the 15 sailors with their excuses for being gutless cowards.?
|
Additional Details many of your answers say what would you have done if you were there..?
well you would have thought that if I were there I would have been TRAINED to deal with other people coming at me with guns and rockets and knifes etc etc...
It seems to me that its all well and good when our( kids) armed forces are shooting, droping bombs and blowinng people to bits,
but when 15 of our side get captured, by a country that we are not even at war with, they become puppets prepared to do anything that there captors want.
I can't believe that this is the way our armed forces a expected to act in this situation.

I sure hope that these 15 sailors, and any others like them, are never all that stands beween us and our enemies!
But no need to worry! We DO have brave service people, and they are doing a great, if somewhat futile, job in both Afghanistan and Iraq. But for them, the world would be laughing at us and making the kind of jokes everyone used to make about the Italians during and after the last world war! |

Just you watch ,they will be given medals at the first opportunity ,labour spin will make them heroes they have to convince us of this tocover for the inadequate support we give the true heroes without adequate boots arms and logistical support who are the real heroes of this country. |

Yes.. Seems like the Iranians said BOO and they all cried for mommy. OK sir I will say whatever you want. If the WW2 generation under Churchill had acted like that we would all be blond haired blue eyed German citizens!!! |
|

Common Sense
|
Yes. I would have told the Iranians to shove it and to cut my head off before admitting I was in their waters. |

Yes, especially this woman who is now going to rake in the money for her so called story, I think that within a few months she will have resigned from the navy and begin appearing on chat shows, celebrity big brother, and possibly her own show on some cable televison channel. |

crabboy didn't you know that's what it all about when you join the forces its do or die for your country//certainly some would have died but not with the air rifles our guys had aboard apparently so what else could they do but throw their hands up the whole episode was a c ock-up and who was responsible for sending them on a dangerous mission ill equipped should be brought to account |

As a British subject, ex RNR. They were in a difficult
situation, but they didn't have to look so happy when they
shook hands with the dictator and they should have refused
to accept the "goody bag" they were given. Their attitude
did nothing to bring credit to the Royal navy or their country!
And as for selling their story-------I am ashamed! |
|

AM
 |
Yes I am like you, sick of them! They should thank Iran's presedent who saved & sent them back safely, & the should be a shamed of themselves & not looking other people & media in the eye.
What shameless faces they have!!!! |

Redmonk is right--the iranians now know that they have nothing to fear from europe or its allies in europe--a brilliant exercise in "let's see what happen's when we do this...lets see who we have against us when we bring our nuke capability's online"--"wow, we only have america to worry about...all the rest are p--ussy's!" As for the sailors, marine's and that bint faye turney--they were doing their job, they volunteered to join the services, no-one co-erced them to join up, its part and parcel of their job--its all very well for people to have a go at the questioner, saying things like "you weren't there--you were sitting in front of the tv, so shut up" or "its all well and good for you to talk, sat in front of your computer, you know nothing of what its like to be on the front line"...WE dont have to be on the front line, these sailors and marines have to be at certain times, because that is part of what they joined to do--part of the hazardous job that they do--(which, by the way, they do very well)--nobody is taking that away from them, they were doing what they were supposed to be doing, and a good job they do too...its the money turney and the other guy got from the papers blabbing about it, THAT incenses people the most. |

I wonder how the questioner would have behaved in their situation, that is not to say he may be right about them but it's so easy to be critical when sat at a keyboard.
Would he, (or myself), have behaved differently? Only those unfortunate enough to have been in this position can really give an opinion.
That being said, the idea that these people are going to make money from their failure, and it was a failure, does leave a distinctly foul taste in the mouth. |

is it me, or are the cons just completely unhinged that the britain-iran thing ended peacefully.
i would guess from this kind of talk that they really wish that we were in yet another war right now.
don't take this sort of nonsense talk seriously folks - it's just the ramblings of really strange cons saying what they would have done, you know, if they were men... |

yes you are very brave aren't you insulting them from behind the aninymity of your Yahoo account.

Hooah! and I am sick of hearing all the liberal *** stupid questions about the debate of politics. I could have sworn the military questions section was to ask legitimate questions about the military and to help fellow service members out etc. how come that seems to be the complete opposite of the sections current goal and it seems that all people want to do is spew their filthy oral diarrhea? ....Shadow Stalker
EDIT.... To all of these people calling them brave etc them along with other people such as the lovely traitor PFC Lynch are a bunch of gutless traitors and should be hung and shot and than have their entrails pulled out and burned for treason. And before you judge me you do not know what I have done or where I have been so keep your mouth shut. And I promise you besides the training at SERE school I have had to face a similar situation. ........ Shadow Stalker |
