I have a complaint to make against a US marine and want to contact the military police. I want to ask them also but want to get additional opinions.
Are complaints anonymous if you ask them to keep it that way?
What is the process?
I know he would get arrested and asked questions for a long while. He did this before and got caught but it was dropped for lack of evidence (adultery).. however, it is still going on.

If there is not enough evidence then don't report it. You have to have absolute proof (ie pictures)or have one of the parties admit to it. Email, text messages, or phone calls are NOT proof under the UCMJ. But this would need to be reported to JAG or his commanding officer. Your name may be kept from him, unless you are the one he's having the affair with, but it will not be kept totally off the record. Once reported they are going to want to know how you know. The defense and prosecution have the right to verify your information before hanging this guy. |
