It's a hostage situation. One doesn't just blow down the door, double-tap the pirates, and hope for the best for the hostage.

its not his job, or his place, to make decisions about that directly. its the responsability of whatever commander was placed in charge of it. and u have 4 pirates, in a row boat that you cant exactly sneak onto, with an american hostage that you're trying to save. you might as well blame obama for the california draught.

he's responisble for the overall wellbeing of america. as in he isnt calling the shots for this hostage situation. is the president calling the shots when theres a hostage situation in the states? no. in international or foreign waters, its the CIAs and the Navy's job. how well this does or doesnt go down has nothing to do with obama.
you're probably some little republican ***** who thought that since democrats bashed bush over LEGITIMATE subjects (OIF, the economy, the odd words he made up) that you should bash the current president since he's a democrat...only problem is that he honestly hasnt done anything really wrong yet so you're blaming him for something that he has nothing to do with. its like blaming a firefighter in NY for there being crime in LA. has NOTHING to do with him.
